Well they aren't nearly as bad as Arin, because they'll actually read instructions and stuff. Anything bad that happens is either overconfidence or straight up lack of skill, rather than "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THE THING?!"
When they get frustrated though they can get rather surly, like when they fought the Fume Knight in DS 2.

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.DMC 3 is done with, and judging from the download prompt that was visible in the final video DMC 4 is coming right up.
That was the best part of the playthrough, when that download finished.

Best download finished moment is still the beginning of this video.
That laugh goes on for 38 seconds straight. And it. Is. Glorious!
Since we're in the middle of a Devil May Cry-athon, I thought I'd mention this. A few years back I wrote a Devil May Cry crackfic. I intentionally wrote it without doing any research into the franchise, I just wrote based on what I was able to gleam through pop cultural osmosis. It's only a couple pages long and should be utterly ridiculous.

of Bleed.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.What was the soundtrack when Sparrow soared out of the Eclipse, cackling as he tries to tussle with Darlington and Matthew?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Alpha Gamboa's art for the DMC4 thumbnail. So everyone can better appreciate all the Easter eggs.
I didn't write any of that.I'm watching the first Detroit LP because I actually forgot about that game for 3 whole months and I gotta say; I'm actually really enjoying the story aside from the bits that were clearly just them making mistakes and then blaming the game or something.
It's kinda tiresome to hear them rail on everything just because it's a Cage game and hear Woolie get "offended" by the (admittedly on the nose) civil rights parallels. I suppose they were expecting a dumpster fire and had to simulate it anyway when it turned out to not be total trash. And another thing, that bingo card seems like one way or another it was going to get filled out. It full of tropes and pretty understandable narrative conventions. Honestly, I've been inspired to buy the game myself. Multiple branching paths are always fun.
Find the Light in the DarkI recommend it. It's a fun, and I even think good, game to play. At the end of the LP even the Best Friends say so.
Yoko Taro likes the game too, and with the pedigree that guy has gained in gaming, I’d say to take his words at heart.

Watch SymphogearI mean, the best friends liked a lot of the game. It's far from flawless and there are parts that are really bad, but there are also parts that are really good. It's definitely Cage's best game. What Detroit really deserves praise for is making choices matter more than anything else out there. It really feels like they cover every permutation that could possibly happen. A lot of the time in games like this choices only appear to matter, or a choice creates two binary paths. With Detroit you get more than that, and if nothing else the guys at Quantic Dream deserve praise for making the player feel like their decisions actually count.

That's why its so fun to play, yeah.
I get that people don't like Devil May Cry 2 because the gameplay isn't good and Dante has no sense of humour, but why do people say that it HAS to come after 4, and insist that no game in the franchise, including 5, can ever come after it?
Because chronologically the games events go in this order: 3 > 1 > The Anime > 4 > 2 > 5.
That doesn't remotely answer my question.
Only thing that comes to mind is the Fanon that Trish and Lady are dead in 2, to explain Dante's character there.
Again, my question was: Why do fans of the series say that it is it impossible for ANY game to EVER come after 2? What happens in 2?
Dante goes to Hell, but no one played Lucia's story so they don't get that he rode out of it pretty quickly.
Plus there was the idea that 2 was peak Dante as far as strength goes and if the story went further he'd never be challenged again.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)I appreciate how they are portraying Eric Sparrow in THUG 2.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. You mean as the pathetic loser he always was?
Yes, it's glorious.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.What is the song that plays during the THUG 2 intro? Something Berserk related I'm guessing.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I wondered that too. It doesn't sound like a villain theme to me.
Tonight on the Shitstorm: Nun Massacre I am stoked just from the name alone. It's made by the same people who created Nightripper.
I think some of the best games this year were from early in the month, but the one that's probably my favourite is Faith. Super retro, and I love it. Never seen anything quite like it. It intrigued me enough that I found a full playthrough including all five endings. Also, I just learned that there's a sequel in development.

My favorite so far is Gray Dawn, oddly enough. I'm not aware of many Religious Horror stories based on Eastern Orthodoxy rather than Catholicism or some Protestant denomination. And, with the exception of the human models, the game looks surprisingly good.
I didn't write any of that.
Its why I stopped following them years ago. Same with Game Grumps.
