I liked SSW 2 better.
That's it. I need to... "buy" this game.
And then buy it if it turns out really good.
I have a message from another time...It's conquer.
Fight smart, not fair.Easily one of my favorite DBZ games for this very reason.
2 was better, but the first game's "What If" paths was pretty creative. I liked how they had Piccolo break out an attack that hadn't worked on even been used since before Gohan was born, in a series that runs on So Last Season, and have it work!

Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackI never got a chance to play the second. What was different?
"If you're out here why do I miss you so much?"...great. I can't use any super moves because my keyboard can't register three keys at once. I suppose I'll have to buy the real thing if I want the real experience.
I have a message from another time......OK, the story modes are great in this game (Evil Containment Wave? That's old school!), but screw this game's AI. I can understand blocking and countering almost all of my physical attacks. I can understand flawlessly dodging my projectiles, but how does it block and counter my counterattacks, after I've blocked and countered one of THEIR moves?
I have a message from another time...Well for one, the computer is much more like a reasonable player and less like a frame perfect automation. #2 adds a lot of attacks they never used in the comic or cartoon for characters like Broly and Metal Cooler, which doesn't make a faithful adaptation but makes a much more fun video game since people feel more unique to play as. 2 has tag team moves and finishing moves like a wrestling game, 2 has insanely unforgivable bosses. Okay that last one wasn't a good thing but the rest are all improvements.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackYES. This game has probably the best what-if stories ever among licensed games. Although the Budokai and Tenkaichi series have some sweet scenarios too, they can't crap on Supersonic Warriors.
No regret shall pass over the threshold!Oh man. Gero's story is probably the second best story mode in the game.
The moral of Dr. Gero's story is "Dr. Gero SUCKS!"
I have a message from another time...I honestly Perfered DBZ Ultimate Butoden over this one, mostly because the AI was a bit less Cheap in that one. But i am enjoying this game a lot, i'm glad i found out about it.
Hey, thanks for reading this signature. You're great! <3This game was basically my introduction to Dragon Ball Z. I wasn't really into it until I borrowed my cousin's game, and after flying around and shooting off ki blasts and everything, I was hooked.
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]Among the best of it's handheld games, I do prefer the sequel however.
Your black nerd who loves to game, watch anime, and write!
Now that's how you do a licensed game where you can play as the entire cast.
No forgone conclusions here. Play as Krillin, and everyone will be in awe at how a mere human took down Frieza. Play as Frieza, and conquer both Namek and Earth before blowing them up. Even Goku gets a different series of events from canon, though you can play the original storyline, too.
Better still, each character got a bonus fight if you beat their story without continues. For example, Frieza got a fight with Cell, who in this series of events was created to fight him. Or as Cell, you can go beyond the Cell Games and fight Majin Buu. Or as Trunks, you can return to his time line and destroy the androids once and for all.
I wish Treasure had done something similar with their Bleach game for the DS. It teases it with Ichigo's story being having Visual Novel elements, but if you play has Chad, you fight two opponents and get an ending where he's clobbered by the second one anyway.
