It also works as poetic justice since "death by merciless beatdown in a panic bubble" was the same kind of death Trailbreaker suffered earlier on at the hands of the DJD.

Edit: Pagetopper.

I just love that image on the wiki of Megs holding a terrified Tarn by the neck, the latters eyes wide in fear and despair as the caption under the image reads "You will die alone & unloved."

Man thats some good shit right there, heheh.

Yeah, but so little was actually done with the rest of the DJD, poetic justice or no. At least have the other three taken out by someone other than Megatron. Give Maximus Ambus a chance to shine or something. I get the whole "Megatron taking care of his own mistake" thing, but with Kaon dead at Tarn's hands, the others could have gone differently.

And while I agree that the Karmic Death to Tarn was fitting, I found the whole thing just underwhelming and kind of boring.

I can agree with that even if I still enjoyed what I got. Maybe let Megatron kill Tarn and one other member while the rest get taken down by the crew.

Damn, thanks mate. I've got a friend who's getting into the series, will send that to him.

Read Lost Light #10 through legal methods.

Not only do the Protectobots, especially First Aid, quickly figure out something creepy's going on in the Lost Light, not only does Riptide reveal the truth about the mutiny, not only does it turn out Getaway has Thunderclash under a memory loop and disembodied brain modules floating around in the room that used to be Swerve's, but he's gotten the Protectobots under a memory loop too.

Well. If I didn't want Getaway to get his ass kicked already, this would be the comic that would aggravate me to want that to happen!

Got Generations Toys GT-02 and GT-03 (IDW Optimus and IDW Bomber Megatron)

Op Ex amazes me. I didn't think an Optimus could match MP-10, and honestly, I have trouble picking which one I like best (Opinion shared by my colleagues at work). He has an adaptor for MP 10's trailer (And I got 2 mp 10 trailers, so yay!) and has the best truck mode of any optimus with the adapter on.

Tyrant is amazing too. Though the manual lies to you. But once transformed. Holy shit. And he comes with an amazing stand.

Finished RID(cartoon)'s second season. Pretty good. I honestly like that Optimus is flawed, but they do show he still is a strong person. Having Bumblebee and Optimus fight each other at times(mainly verbally and bickering) was a good thing to add and showed how much they've changed and evolved throughout time. Of course they would be at ends. They're both leaders now. This is normal.

Animated had some REALLY good figure. Especially considering how stylized the art style is, you'd not think they could make figures this show accurate.

I never got the Animated toys. But I do love the show.

That said, Rescue Bots has a great theme, even if the show is anvilicious. Logically so, but still. The alt modes get interesting. Kind of odd that only one has 4 alt modes by the end of season 3, though.

Rescue Bots gets hilarious when you watch Transformers Prime and realize both shows supposedly take place in the same universe and concurrently, with both the Autobots AND the Decepticons ignoring the Rescue bots. Especially when Megatron is Obsessed with capturing autobots in season 3.

Starscream: "Well we can always capture on of those on that island that don't even bother hiding,"

Megatron: "I refuse that my sole victory be disposing of the Autobot's special needs crew"

I honestly haven't seen Prime in forever. That's great~

I should rewatch it soon. Already finished RID, well, first two seasons. I'm waiting for more of the 3rd season. A few episodes seems.. pointless, unless it actually ended by that point, and I'm sure it didn't. I saw advertisements for RID toys, so it's probably ongoing.

So, I've been catching random episodes of RID here and there...apparently, the show just had it's series finale. A lot has been going on:

Beyond Ratchet returning during the Decepticon Island two part, and then Starscream coming back later, the Bee team became a fricking combiner, Bulkhead got off the bus and returned, Cybertron was secretly taken over by Decepticons (one of which was the show's version of Cyclonus) using mind control, and this new council were also combiners, resulting in a big ass showdown with the Bee team.

It seems like maybe I should have been watching this series. A lot of cool stuff was going down.

What annoys me the most about RID is that it keeps threatening to be interesting.

I like RID, but it does have a problem of undercutting "shit just got real" with three times as much "Sideswipe is a dickhead and learns a lesson to not be which he'll have forgotten by this time next week, also we arrested the Decepticon furry-of-the-week I guess".

This place is careless.

Strongarm is great though. I want her to pull a Bulkhead and start appearing in other TF stuff.

...

Ok. So not the most popular series then?

I do agree about wanting to see more Strong Arm. With her, Wind Blade, and old stand by Arcee...well, that's still only three female Autobots, but it's a little more than the Decepticons, who barely have two: Airachnid is more or less an Expy of Black Arachnia, and the only other one is Slipstream, who's just a Gender Flip of Starscream.

There are not many female transformers, so seeing more Strong Arm is ok with me.

IDW's also introduced some of their own like Nautica (who rocks), Velocity (who also rocks) and Anode (who does not rock).

Sh's a boring jerkface who eats up all the panel time in Lost Light when I want to know how literally anyone else is doing.

The only good issue of the series so far is #7 and that's the one that barely features her.

To be fair, RID is not aimed at us, it's aimed at a much younger public than Prime was. So I need to admit I am not the intended audience and that colors my reception of it. It's also a much more... light hearted series. The stakes are never huge, the villains tend to be more zany than truly threatening. It's a tone thing. RID comes up with super cool concepts, but the Lighter and Softer tone sorts of shoots the potential those ideas would have for me and I suspect most older audience.

There was pretty high stakes in 1st Season finale at least. But beyond that, the stakes are pretty low. Worst is collateral damage to vehicles and two humans in trouble. Heck, the stakes are actually higher in Rescue Bots nearly all of the time, partially due to the nature of the series. It's arguably a little less lighthearted, although clearly not by much.
