ugh. i've been talking to a guy on a dating app for like a week and i thought we got along pretty well. i mean, we had two-hour long conversations. then we met up and almost immediately afterwards he called and said he just wasn't attracted to me physically. that really fucked up my day.

So I am set to start GM'ing for a second DND group. I am going to try and set them on alternating Saturdays so I have time to work on stuff for each group and they are both going to run off of the same general homebrew but different adventure tracks. Both can influence the town and inflict change on it. Should be interesting.

I also get my first COVID shot next Tuesday. My wife got her second today.

The one time I got past sending a message into the void on a dating app, we hit it off pretty well, we were messaging vigorously for a few weeks, we played Portal 2 co-op on voice chat once, and then I found myself getting obsessed and impatient for messages and an in-person meeting and my attempt to handle that maturely was still not handling it well.

Been thinking of trying online dating again, but honestly? Don't really care too much, I'm more or less content chilling by myself, gaming and creating up some background lore stuff for my group's Cyberpunk RED game. Not really sure what dating would add to my life at this point, tbh.

Teuf: that sounds like a neat idea, of each group affecting the town. On my TTRPG end, gonna get my Rockergirl some badass cybereyes, one with a video recorder for recon/blackmail, and one with a targeting scope for a +1 to aimed shots, making her deadlier with her Malorian 3516.

Lost my job two weeks ago due to the COVID economic down turn. Got a new one on Wednesday - contract work but there are bennies.

At least I landed on my feet.

A contract to help an agency get it's head above water dealing with this COVID thing - mostly helping them route the paperwork to the right people.

Thankfully it's remote.

Got my first vax shot yesterday. Was impressed by the efficiency of the temporary clinic set-up. Only side effect is a very sore arm. I'd make a 5G joke, except I still use a dumbphone.

I'm just grateful to get protection. The long-term effects of COVID are not fun reading.

In today's episode of "The Shitshow I Work At" we had a general merchandise trailer begin backing into the bay, and thanks to the dumbfucks at distribution who didn't really shrink wrap two pallets, those two pallets FELL OFF ONTO THE PAVEMENT.
