Oh absolutely. In particular it's really important to know which one's a Special Move that burns your Mana Meter since getting one of those early causes a jump in your combat effectiveness. And something like Misako's Power Bomb is fun but really situational.
More playable characters, while a welcome addition, isn't my number one request. I want more stuff to fight.
That said, Hasabe and Mami are right there and Marian('s abs) is a new fan favorite.
Bleye knows Sabers. This new version of Marian being playable would be great.
Honestly the more that I'm thinking about my River City Girls 2 idea, the idea that I came up with for the main protagonists are not Misako and Kyoko, but Yoko and Hibari. I just love the idea of the potential dynamic between a chillax hockey player and an uptight fashionista. Also, I've thought of both the Knight and Alien enemies from Renegade III: The Final Chapter returning as regular enemies for this game.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Funny thing about those extended combos is that simpler still tends to work pretty well. The Light > Launcher > Light > Launcher > etc. juggle does a ton of damage and is typically safer than standard combat. Granted, running Heavy is still fairly good for creating space if it isn't blocked, but as it turns out, constantly falling bodies is the best CC.
As far as the air throws go, I agree they're fairly situational, namely because it requires singling out an enemy instead of juggling a whole group. It also has an input that's annoying to get used to. However, it does a silly amount of damage, so at least it has that going for it. It's also relatively safe because few enemies have attacks that hit that high into the air.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Yes, because you only grab the one after launching them. It does huge damage to that single enemy, though. The safety and damage output is high enough that the one speed runner I've been following who absolutely swears by efficient damage output (and thus does the Light > Launcher loop to juggle as many as seven enemies at a time) will occasionally do it.
FE: New Mystery Fresh Cart Lunatic 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiMy main issue was that crowd control and combo flexibility mostly don't exist before you get Stone Hands, the stomp, the ability to pick up grounded guys, and some kind of launcher. After all that the game really opens up and is much more fun to play.
But it's really loose and really fun once you get all that, and it only gets better once you get the Power Bomb and suplex. Every beat em up should have OTG and wall bounce combos.

Running Light attack is decent early [+CC=] and can chain into another Light and Heavy. Jumping attacks have a decent amount of hit stun, too. It's not the most interesting stuff, but it's still a fairly flexible early move set. The stomp also comes within the first couple rooms, so it's just a level 2 move.

"No will to break."Triangle. The top button of course...
Also, why do you have to buy the stomp for the boys?

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Triangle. Make sure you're right over the enemy, as the hit box is a bit strict and it'll otherwise make you do your standing heavy, which can leave you open to eating wake-up damage.
FE: New Mystery Fresh Cart Lunatic 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiIf River City Girls 2 were to happen, would you guys rather it'd star Misako and Kyoko again or a different pair? I'd like the latter.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. How about for new playable characters on a possible sequel or DLC we get Kunio and Rikki in crossdressing? Why crossdressing? This is River City Girls, and you expect exactly that. Also, it would be funny that some mook's dialogue would be making fun of them.
x2
Misako and Kyoko with a new story.
Misako and Kyoko have both endeared me to them far too much for me to let anyone else take their spotlight.
Not that pretty much all the characters in the game aren't memorable.
Bleye knows Sabers. The extended Kunio cast is so large I get the feeling they'd want Wayforward to shine the spotlight on someone else in a follow up.
So the whole crazy Kunio and Riki fangirls reveal didn't sour anyone on them then?
One Strip! One Strip!Oh is that all?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. It's not really elaborated on, so it can be taken a few different ways. It's both canon-compliant and funny as hell so the ending is fine with me, but I see it as less "They're Crazed fangirls" and more "They hung out a few times and assumed they where something they weren't."
On another note, the Frilly Bra is the best accessory in the game, no? Everything else is a nice bonus here and there but 10% extra damage to certain opponents in certain situations isn't going to change your overall strategy but invincible for that extra second can let you pull off a much more effective counterattack.

Bleye knows Sabers.Funnily enough in the Japanese version Misako and Kyoko are their girlfriends, but Kunio and Riki have been cheating on them with Hasebe and Mami.

That's better...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.x3 Well, Hasebe and Mami do admit to Kyoko and Misabo having dated the boys for a single game. So it's more than just hung out, but, uh, I guess a sort of "exes who can't let go" situation? Regardless, I find Kyoko too charming to outright dismiss her based on that. I mean, maybe in a normal cast of characters, but this is River City, where the good guys are delinquents partaking in over-the-top violent vigilante acts.
The Frilly Bra is one of the best in the game, yes. Extra invincibility is pretty strong. However, it's kinda impossible to be the Tank Badge (one-shot basically everything at the cost of Agi) and Rabbit Badge (you go super sonic). I think that's the names, anyway. Also, the one pin that gives infinite SP because then Kunio's just straight invincible against most opponents (can't fight back if you're always OTGed forever).
The 5%/10% damage increase actually can matter at lower levels, but it's mostly for hitting boss breakpoints and not leaving them with a sliver of HP between phases. Granted, there are ways around it. Eventually, stats just get so high enough that it doesn't matter because those accessories swing into doing extra overkill and... well, overkill doesn't matter.

FE: New Mystery Fresh Cart Lunatic 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiDamn though.
Hasebe and Mami are kinda getting thrown under the bus a little aren't they?
That being said, having all four girls in a game with an actual plot (as opposed to the sports games) meant the question of who're the actual girlfriends was gonna need to be answered in some way
One Strip! One Strip!Maybe a little. Hasebe and Mami certainly act nasty. On the other hand, Kyoko and Misabo are prone to excessive violence, so it's not like any of them are on clear moral highground.

Do they need to tell you what moves do?
Maybe a few need more than just the visual, but it seems unnecessary for the majority.
