There have been like ten pages since last post, but anyway, we FINALLY get an explanation for the seemingly schizo resurrection spells: There's a limited timeframe where they're viable.

This will be a lost joke in a few years.

In fairness, they've cut down heavily on these references. I guess mages trying to evict Richard from the crown while Occupy Wall Street is going on was too irresistable for them.

The followup is actually pretty funny though.

Okay, I've given this comic a lot of slack over the years, but I've gotta call bullshit on this one. Logistics aside, how do a blue elf and a grey minotaur produce a green troll?

Her actual race has never been defined but she was called an orc once. I don't think Crunch was her biological father but rather who she thinks of as her father because he raised her.

^ The implication of the current flashback is clearly that Crunch and the elf captain are her biological parents. And regardless of her race never being defined by the comic, the strip was originally based on World Of Warcraft, and Benny is very clearly a forest troll from that franchise.

However much it may resemble other franchises, it's been clearly stated in comic that people in comic don't know what she is. She's something you don't see in this universe. Now we know why.

But it still doesn't make biological sense. She's green and has tusks. Where did those traits come from if she's the daughter of a blue elf and a minotaur? And for that matter, where are her minotaur traits? The most she has in common with Krunch is having the same number of fingers.

Same digits, same markings, eyes turn red when pissed, tusks and skin pigment are an anomaly, the rest of her takes after her mother. Heck, I thought that Krunch was her actual dad way before this, I just thought he had an affair with a troll back in prison. He probably never told her he actually was her dad because then he'd have to explain how it was possible. Now I want to know what a 1/4 Blue Elf, 1/4 Bloodrage, and 1/2 Pink Elf kid would look like.
