Other than the included microsoft games like solitaire and minesweeper, These were the type of games we had as kids... Challenge of the Ancient Empires was the best one, IMO.
...I may be dating myself by this. Just a tad. 
I used to enjoy that Space Cadet Pinball as well.
It started to infuriate me lately because it is just too... precise or RNG-y.
Highest I achieved was some 20-30 millions
