This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Gave this a week or so. Got suspended again because I made an entry on the YMMV page for DBZ Abridged have the 3 asterisks under an entry that had only 2. While I understand whoever suspended me again jumping at the chance, the entry I did that for was originally written by me & meant as a supplemental disclaimer to the first point on that list for "Better than Canon" trope entry. Since I'm pretty sure some of the admins of the site are monitoring my account heavily & scrutinizing my edits, that's explaining why that was. I can see someone's since made them 1 point entirely, which is what I should've done. I see why my editing privileges were suspended again and will do better if given them back.
Well, I was suspended a little over a month ago, right? I think I just need to finally get this off my chest. I've thought long and hard about this.
So the reason I got in trouble in the first place, was because of all those page moves I made without getting community consensus or permission first. For example, the splitting of Producers into Film And TV Companies and Animation Companies. Honestly at the time, I wasn't really aware that I had been violating any particular rule against this; I just thought that this article was too long, and that creating new pages to move some of the existing content would've been helpful and useful.
Though as I've now realized, ignorance was no excuse for my stupid and reckless actions. I should've known that this could cause serious problems and annoy other people. I should've discussed how to do this complicated process with other users, instead of unilaterally acting on these entire decisions by myself. I should've collaborated with the community, and reached a proper consensus about how best to move content from these pages.
I now fully understand and admit that I was being bullheaded, stubborn, and even selfish, and I'm sorry for that. I sincerely regret acting like such a fool. I won't ever dare mess around with these mass page moves or any other big projects like these, at least not without properly seeking out the community's approval before attempting them.
I don't want to make such a huge mess and piss everyone off again. I promise to act much more carefully when editing.
To the mods, sorry if you're groaning whilst reading this. Anyways, I think I have compiled a list of my mistakes

Hey, I'm here because someone didn't take so kindly to my reference to Amber Heard's gaslighting and physical abuse of Johnny Depp. A suspension was not a proportionate response. I can't even view my messages to address whoever issued it so I'm here to request that you remove the suspension immediately. There are better approaches to this than throwing one's weight around.

We need to be sure that you won't do this ever again. Users suspended for letting their hate for whatever triggers them control their activities on the site have a very high chance of relapse.

The main problem is that you are making no effort to understand how our site works, and so you've made several stub articles with broken markup. Well, first you have to improve your English, and I see no signs of that. For one thing, the pronoun "I" should be capitalized. It would be foolish to blindly trust that you'll fix it instantaneously.
To get advice and/or demonstrate improvement, please post edits that you would like to make in this forum thread. Do this until you can write without needing corrections.

~nomuru2d — I checked with the others and unfortunately there seems to be a glitch at fault. We did not specifically ban you from queries like wiki discussion subpages, just from editing the wiki. We do not have a way to make such a change and the Admins have a bunch of other priorities in terms of programming fixes. I'm sorry we don't have a way to fix this for you. 
~Squid Roofan 4 Ever — You're still getting corrections in that thread. I don't think it is a good idea to release you because we expect to have to suspend you again in short order. Keep working on your English writing and be careful with ZCE. You're doing well so far and we don't want you to waste your next chance.
~mariovsonic999 — You are similar, but further along in your progress. I'd be more willing to release you because I can be fairly confident that you would check your edits in the thread first, but we'd like to see more "no fixes needed" before doing so. Is that alright?
~Adembergz — I want you to tell me. You're supposed to read the TLP Guidelines and compare them to how you launched the draft. Right now you appear to be guessing, and that means you don't understand how the rules apply. I need you to read the rules until you do understand them. I don't mind answering questions about the rules if there's a phrasing issue causing your lack of comprehension, but we expect our editors to be conversational with English and be aware of or able to look up the rules themselves. When you say "maybe", you're picking out a few rules and seeing if you can guess what I'm thinking. I don't need guessing, I need you to be able to perform self-reflection and pass the mirror test. You know what the draft looked like, you know that it wasn't your draft, and I pointed out that it was an index draft rather than a trope draft. You need to take that information and look through the policy page to find a rule that fits your mistake. You only need to find one to show that you understood the rules; I'll explain the others that you broke.
Also, you should make yourself familiar with Know the Staff; that's our policy page on the wiki hierarchy. We are called moderators because we are here to mediate between regular users and the rules. This is to establish consistency and accuracy between wiki editors and wiki policies.
~Scsigs — No, it was a different edit but the same problem. You've clearly not improved in terms of Example Indentation. We have no reason to release your suspension because you're just going to repeat it again.
~AHI-3000 — We're talking it over internally, but right now the proposal would include a timeframe where you'd remain suspended as a punitive measure, and at the end of the timeframe we'd either expand the suspension to include the workshop forums (bad end) or remove your wiki suspension (good end). It would be a sort of double-or-nothing judgement on your ability to cooperate and wouldn't affect your permissions to access the Media/right side of the forums. Would a deal like that be reasonable to you? Link to TRS threads in project mode here.

Dear moderators,
It has been two weeks since I was banned from making any edits after numerous grammatical mistakes.
After contributing to the Get Help With English thread, and seeing my contributions corrected, I believe I understand how seriously TV Tropes takes grammar and editing. I also have to take them seriously too in my day to day affairs if I want to pursue any of my professional or creative dreams.
If I am allowed to edit again, I pledge to be more self-critical in my grammar and in my writing.

Ok I now know. If I can edit again I promise that whenever I post a trope I will give context and explain why I put that trope. I’ll even rectify as much of the tropes I can recall adding.
And, this is more of a question to make sure I don’t make a mistake. If I don’t know how to word out a trope can I put @@ to ask a troper, who is better at wording it, to explain it instead. Or should I just word it at the best of my abilities and hope that someone can edit it to sound better?
Dear moderators, am sorry for not properly following the rules of this site and not having my writing while editing be Grammarly correct and proper. I promise that i'll try my best to avoid doing the things that got me suspended in the first place. Hello, it has been at least a week since my suspension and I am wondering if I may get a repeal. I am aware of my shortcomings, such as poor grammar and misuse of example indentation. I am taking advantage of the Grammar Help forum, and I hope to keep using it in the future.
The next time I am allowed to edit in the Wiki again, I will check on my own grammar and wordings, and, in addition, use the forum for difficult writing examples.
