This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

~Camilla, it's not just a question of "not going crazy", it's that, as the creator of the work, you cannot add subjective tropes. This means YMMV, Funny, TearJerker, etc. It's a hard and fast rule that you need to abide by. Are we clear?

Good evening. It appears I'm suspended from editing.
I wondered why, and I think I know the answer, since I launched a trope in the Launch pad, and while it got enough hats I forgot to index it. I admit it was a combination of getting distracted and not knowing where to put the trope on. I apologize, and ask what should I do to be allowed to edit again.
I also want to ask something. I've been using a VPN since my country has banned some websites for entering, and sometimes forget to turn it off. Was this another reason for the suspension? Because I want to make sure I've been in this site for years before getting the VPN, and only use it to enter certain sites.

I apologize for it. I think is because the trope has been there since 2017 and I believed the troper in question left the trope hanging. In my experience it happened before with Motion Comic although I had to write about the trope from scratch.

I promise it won't. Look at the "Eureka Release" trope I have in the trope launch pad. There are examples there. The reason I didn't have examples for "Armor-Piercing Statement" was because I had assumed other people would recognize the trope and then put in the examples. I though that was how it worked.

My account appears to have been suspended. I presume this is over the edit skirmish in Feminist Fantasy over Rising Of The Shield Hero.
From my POV, I didn't feel it qualified, but was willing to compromise and let it in if the feminist criticisms of the show were acknowledged (which I feel is important given that "feminist" is part of the trope name, and the show has generated major controversy in those circles). However, the other editor seemed unwilling to let the criticisms be acknowledged.

Hello, like Laevatein it would seem that I was banned in regards to The Rising Of The Shield Hero and Feminist Fantasy. I saw it as a good example for the trope despite having a male as the main protagonist. It features a lot of admirable and strong female characters and the Queen is one of the best characters in the manga. It celebrates female empowerment without putting men down, which is what I see most other examples of the tropes do. I wanted to keep the trope entry neutral, but another editor seemed to not want to compromise.

My preferred option is to remove the entry entirely, and I feel I've already compromised by not doing that. "Keep the entry but acknowledge criticisms of the show" is my compromise position (which I feel is as close to neutral as it can get - if you're trying to claim a work is feminist, it is disingenuous not to acknowledge feminist criticism). I am not willing to compromise further.

Hey folks, I apologize for launching the "Stop the Hero" Twist trope prematurely, I just thought it was safe since it had enough hats and enough time had passed, nobody in the discussion had indicated otherwise and I didn't realize that it was not okay to launch another troper's TLP. May I please be allowed to edit again?

I do not believe keeping the criticism on the entry warrants that as it takes away from the points that it makes and instead dwels heavily into the negatives. That was what it looked like when it was on the page. It's fine to acknowledge, but please put it on the page of Sheild Hero. If the effect with feminist should still be mentioned on the entry, then it should just be mentioned that they were put off with the first episode and nothing else.

Ok, folks? We are not on 24/7. Unless we tell you you're not getting unsuspended, your case is still pending. And we generally like to let the same mod handle a case.
So please be a little patient.
And, ~otemple700, I just pointed out that conversations between suspended parties aren't allowed.
