Yeah I meant to say Bathory was less interesting now that being...well Bathory doesn't even seem to come up in FGO outside of a few cutscenes here and there, while 99% of her screentime is being a cute moeblob now. It's the problem Nero has when she got less interesting after EXTRA because everything negative about her just vanished in a post-FGO world.
Idk. Some fans like the Fix Fic aspects that FGO that allow these characters to be in a much happier place, narrative consistency be damned.
I've seen similar complaints about Melt actually. Her FGO personality assumes you've read CCC and then it retroactively establishes a bond with the MC in the eleventh hour.
I understand why FGO's writing is the way it is (they have to sell you on these characters to justify rolling for them) but it doesn't make me like it.
....man, there's tons of irony where these characters are more interesting when they were objectively more terrible people.
Hilariously this complaint about Liz goes the other way with Okita and Nobunaga in Redline. Where the former actually acts like someone you'd expect from the Shinsengumi (that is, a cold-blooded assassin) and Nobu is a full on unironic Card-Carrying Villain who doesn't tolerate bullshit.
Its funny
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Evil Is Cool as long as it doesn't affect you.
Of course we only have the benefit of what we have seen to really say someone would have been better like this. Maybe having Eli as a constant antagonist would get boring after a while.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Which is why i don't mind the more cutesy elements being injected, but the problem is when that's all she is in most of FGO, you arrive at the same issue.
Even if Carmilla is made to be the representation of everything bad in Elly, she stil doesn't really does this given how little we see her. It's no so much trying to completely box of them as Nice Bathory and Evil Bathory but have clear signs of why both of them can end up like the other.

Well yeah I mean characters are more interesting when they have some kind flaw or conflict going on. Thats the basis of all storytelling.
For instance I do not want the rivalry between Achilles and Hector to be resolved with the 2 becoming friends, that just boring. I prefer the rivalry to be reignited because its cooler that even in death ascended to pseudo-deity hood, Achilles anger towards the man who killed the most important person in his life is everlasting.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."If all they see if just hate each other and that's it, that can get stale as well.
That said, it's clear that they'll never be friends as even in Atlantis, Hektor just had to throw a jab at Achilles's expense before dying.

They've both made peace with their deaths and are willing to put aside their differences when it matters. But its plain as day they still hate each other and take any opportunity to fuck with the other.
Ita more a Friendly Rivalry...with emphasis on the rivalry part.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I feel like Melt is a better continuation of her character from CCC than Liz given that she shows some actual complexity and development. Liz in FGO is just Liz from CCC minus the murder. Honestly the CCC event did a really good job with everyone there.
i still maintain, even after all this time, that the CCC event is the single best chapter of FGO.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeYeah, the CCC event was very well written overall and earns its spot as one of the must reads in the game. It also has one of the best lines you can get if you know the full context.
- Meltryllis:"That's right, we were both the same, swans swimming in the lake of depravity. But it's because of love that I finally flew out of that lake".
It certainly is one of the best, offering a somewhat different take on Kiara and progressing other characters (It also has the one Alter that actually has proper development).
It would be nice to visit the Moon Cell again but i doubt that's gonna happen anytime soon.

Well, depends if the devs would make a Extella or Extella Link collab next year. I would say they could also make a second collab this year but that's a bit of wishful thinking.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.If the advertised Wada character is Charlie, there's no reason left to do a Link collab.
Extella/Extella Link deserved a collab event, and it's a shame that they never got one.
There's a lot of room to play around with the cast in a fun way, and with Archimedes it's easily to justify a crossover happening.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaePictures of the Koha-Ace Zipang seems to start surfacing. It seems like the most notable new face there is Ise Shinkurou◊

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!cute
I can't wait to find out how fucked up yet hot he is in FGO one or two years from now
Inb 4 he's in this year's Guda Guda as the honorary unsummonable NPC
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boyslol at how today's announcements have changed how the last few posts come off
New Type-Moon Times presentation scheduled for Mahoyo on May 27, 10:00 PM JST. Yūsuke Kobayashi so hoping we'll hear how Soujuurou sounds.
Is that Kirei actually doing his job?
Funny, you'd think Kirei would have made something that'd leave Rin with a numb tongue at best.
Wake me up at your own risk.Aslaug's and Ragnar's first meeting in shellnut.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! Can someone verify if the scene depicted here is from an actual Fate work or if it's fanart?
The original image is a CG from the PS2 version of FSN's UBW route, when Rin transplants her Crest onto Shirou.
Liz was never very aggressive though. She was pretty much always friendly and cheerful even when she like crucified a hundred Masters to bathe in their blood or whatever early in CCC. She was silly, goofy and also an unrepentant serial killer with no real understanding that this was a problem at all. I think her punishment even emphasized that no matter how likable and harmless she can be, she is still a monster who got exactly what was coming to her. It's only when she acknowledges that she was in the wrong that she can actually become a better person.
Also Carmilla is cool in her own right. I like both CCC Liz and Carmilla. I kinda like how Carmilla is all "I will bathe in your blood to maintain my youth" but apparently if she got the Grail she would actually just chill out and become a competent and effective leader. She would have what she wants then and doesn't need to be an asshole anymore.
