CCC Kiara: "I didn't say I wasn't going to enjoy it"

As opposed to-

FGO Kiara: "I'm going to f*ck the entire planet and torture the entire human race to death!"

Fujimaru: "Why though?"

FGO Kiara: "THIS! IS MY! FETISH!!!"

And isn't her backstory in Fate/Extra a tinge more sympathetic?

No amount of sad backstory will make me not want to disinfect her entire existence and the surrounding area she's touched with a nuke.

They share the same backstory; her parents sold her to a Buddhist church that practiced rampant sex. Because of that, Extra!Kiara got it in her head that having a massive orgy is the path to salvation.

GO!Kiara genuinely was a kind person who tried to help others despite her backstory...until Zepar exposed her to her counterpart's memories and went down the same path.

I thought Extra!Kiara got lied to about her an illness or condition or something.

Either way, she's still a Hate Sink, and I don't like her, but the distinction exists.

A real school of Buddhism, BTW.

Kiara's only solution to traumatizing situations is to completely dissociate and embrace narcissistic solipsism (enabled way easier in CCC with the internet and her jumping onto the slippery slope for murder) which okay sure you do you Kiara

The difference between CCC Kiara and GO Kiara is that CCC Kiara never escape her sect because she's sickly, so her sect continues on to use her as a living tenga. Because of the religious connotation of the act, it feeds to her messiah complex and she reaches enlightenment (somehow) through the usual Buddhist nonsense. GO Kiara got treated of her disease, escaped, and lived a somewhat normal life until holier-than-thou clerics who can't understand someone can do better job than them doesn't ask for payment drove her to Seraph. The rest is already explained.

(Implied) Common grounds: Kiara's father was the religious leader of a Tachikawa Buddhist sect secluded in the deep mountauns, isolated from society. Kiara was born with a terrible disease that left her bedridden for the first 14+ years of her life.

CCC-only: One dude teaches Kiara Spiritron Hacking. With the power of the internet, she finds out her disease was easy treatable all along, cures herself and starts to walk. Since no one ever tried to do anything to help her despite how simple her case was, her impression of the people around clashed with her positive definition of humanity, leading to her conclusion: "Oh no, no one is human around here anymore. Well, expect for me, I'm good, just and wonderful." Kiara evolved her father's cult into an online cult, but too many followers were commiting suicide (because Kiara was just that addicting), so dad noticed something was wrong and kicked her out. And then everyone in Kiara's village killed themselves for it. Kiara thought "Wow, that was hot... I mean, terrible. Absolutely terrible" and continued her gig as an online maybe-unlicensed therapist/cult leader.

FGO-only: Some random doctor passed by the village and treated her. She left the mountains, went to a normal school and became a free therapist. She started getting attacked by paid therapist because she's becoming famous for doing their job for free, until the only place she has left to go is the Seraphix therapist job. There she gets possessed by Zepar and he synchronizes her with her CCC self.

I guess she was too popular for that. Patients would still go for her even if she was blacklisted and that would be bad PR for the therapist mafia.

Also I recall there's a conversation where Rin and them talk about the Cult in CCC that mentions just as many followers turned on Kiara and tried to kill her when they couldn't have her, and when her following grew large enough, assassins were sent that weren't supposed to fall in love with(Asexual/Aromantic/Gay/etc) ended up doing so and dying for her when people turned on her.

But I read that years ago so who knows if that's true!

Which is why Emiya Alter's existence is justified, for only someone with a mind of steel could kill Kiara.

Of course, when Kiara realised his gig, she decided to commit suicide just to spite him.

And also declare she wouldn't fuck him too.

Hey when her whole thing is stuffing everyone down there, that's the rudest thing she can say.

All this did is make me pity FGO Kiara... for before she was Hijacked by Ganon. Er, hijacked by herself. Because before then she was just a lovely person.

I guess the bright side is that the CCC event was ultimately retroactively written out of history, which prevented Kiara from ever becoming herself. Er, Kiara from becoming her evil alternate self.

I'm also super glad they localized Emiya Alter they way they did. Tamamo Cat calling him Edgemiya is super funny (and waayyyy better than Demiya), and that slightly lighter skin goes a long way towards making him less of a racist stereotype.
