Man the list of announceed tracks for XIV is so small… like wtf 2 Shadowbringers songs and they didn’t even include A Long Fall.
What the hell, as usual SE just continues to screw XIV in spin-offs.
A Long Fall is right there, what the hell are you talking about??

Trans rights are human rights.World of Final Fantasy literally has one track, and XIV's the one getting screwed over despite having one the larger base track lists?
Missed that, ok 3 songs... wow.
But where is Civilizations? Shadows Withal? High Treason? Fierce and Free? Unwound? In the Belly of the Beast? Insatiable? Insanity? Danshing Nadaam? Just for starters... I maintain my point XIV is getting screwed.
It has one of the longer tracklists as it stands, my dude. They can't include every single song in the bloody game.

Trans rights are human rights. My interpretation of the Wo L is that they had a dream about a magic crystal, woke up one day, and said to themselves "I just had a dream about the magic crystal, that probably makes me the chosen one. LET'S GO FIGHT EVERY EVIL WE CAN FIND!"
XIV gets 33 tracks out of 385. The only number with more songs than that is VII...except it's VII plus Advent Children plus Crisis Core plus Remake plus Last Order (40 total). Even the entire XIII trilogy only got 32. So I'd say XIV was absolutely not forgotten or shafted here; even if it is a popular episode, many people are not playing it due to its MMO nature.
Not to mention several tracks from other games are going to feel familiar - just at the top of my head I count four from FFV (Big Bridge, Battle 2, Decisive Battle, Final Battle), at least three from FFVI (Terra, Decisive Battle, Dancing Mad), four from FFVIII (Force your way, Don't be Afraid, The Extreme, Shuffle or Boogie), two from FFIX (Vamo'alla Flamenco, Festival of the Hunt), three from FFXII (Boss Battle, Battle with an Esper, Flash of Steel), three from Tactics (Antipyretic, Apoplexy, Trisection)...
So that's at least 50 tracks you can find in the game (remixed or not), and the list above is probably missing several items.
Also I think I got 7/20 in the list a few days ago. I'm sad we don't get Dragonsong (could have been an EMS), A Long Fall or Black Wolf Stalks Again, but Wayward Daughter I am super hyped for.
Edit: A Long Fall is in the Digital Deluxe edition alongside some tracks that really should be in the base game (To Zanarkand, Eyes on me, Melodies of Life), so I might pick that one. The season passes don't look interesting at all.

I don't get why Melodies of Life here is in Japanese when an English version exists.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Presumably because the song's gameplay was designed for Japanese. On harder difficulties the actions might sync to the singer's voice, and there might be notable differences in English that would require changing the gameplay.
hmm I guess you got a point, though I prefer listening to the English version, but meh!
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I think English has become the "main" language for XIV voiced songs, so it should be what's used there at least.
I know, but Melodies of Life is my fav FF 9 song and I didn't grow up on the Japanese version
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Wish To the Edge was in but otherwise all my favorites are in.
I could nitpick but the only truly disappointing (but understandable) part is not a single Endwalker song made it. Close to the Distance would have been heavenly. That, and Revenge Twofold is noticably absent.
Could Endwalker be too new for it?
Yeah thats why im only slightly grumbly.
Also looks like my own list got 6/20. Kinda surprised Thunderer didnt get in as often as it appears.
So lore discussion, how exactly does Rowena's house of splendors turn a profit if it mostly deals in Allagan Tomestones and materials? It's almost never taking gil from adventurers in exchange for those rare and powerful weapons.
I get that Allagan Tomestones are sort of like an NFT and there are rich collectors for them but is the market really that profitable to keep Rowena's business empire afloat?

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Evidently, yes
It should be noted that Rowena has her fingers in quite a few other pies.

Heart of StoneYou can basically assume that everything you do for Rowena or one of her employees is done at an enormous mark-up and that you are clearly on the losing side of every exchange.
Especially the book part for ARR.
Evidently I'm trading valuable tomestones that I can imagine is worth thousands of gil for some old outdated books.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Doesn't Rowena have her hands in like every Relic quest, too?
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? She's in every relic business in one form or another and mostly forces Gerolt to help you because of his perpetual debt to her. I'm positive those two will pop up for the EW relics as well because it never gets old seeing Rowena exploit Gerolt for the infinite time.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Well, Gerolt is the only blacksmith with the god-like talent to forge and reforge literally legendary weapons, so his presence in the relic questlines is probably necessary, and Rowena basically has a monopoly on collectible relics and ancient artifacts on Eorzea.

I just wish their shtick would change a bit.

Assuming things are relatively similar to the version of Theatrhythm I played...
BMS uses battle music and gives you four tracks that notes can appear on, one for each party member. The better you do and the better your stats are, the more enemies you kill and the more loot you get.
FMS uses out-of-battle music and has only one track, but that track can wander up and down. You do better the more distance you travel, which is determined by Agility and some FMS-specific skills.
EMS is essentially a level of osu!, and has a cutscene from the game playing in the background.
