We've been asking that question for just over ten years now?

The answer's always the same: - "Worse"

Where did the all the magic go?

This strip reminds me of the many times I've seen people whine about being "silenced" and "cancelled", doing so over dozens of different mediums, loudly and on repeat. All I can think of in cases like that, is that I kinda wish that actually were the case, because I'm tired of it.

I can see why Tats suddenly likes blimps.

God, I remember when Tats posted this comic back in 2004, and I thought it was a brilliant summary of the current political discourse.

It took less than twenty years for him to go from this to equating homosexual and trans acceptance and vaccines with ALIENS TAKING OVER THE EARTH.

I'm surprised this alien is a Woke chibi homunculus and not a shapeshifting reptilian like Queen Elizabeth.

Part of it is waiting for the pustule of Tats' odd beliefs to burst open in full glory.

Part of it is the sick fascination of watching a train wreck (and airliner crash, and earthquake, and gas explosion). (There ought to be a long German compound word for that!)

Part of it is curiosity about how — or whether — Tats will continue some of the arcs he started before the Great Radfem Freakout — Blue and Fuchsia, Miss Amber and Criminy, Lilith and Hekate, Vainglorious and Satan, and so on.

Well, I can see that, during my brief time away from here, Sinfest remains a veritable trainwreck of insanity and outright prejudice towards anyone the author doesn't like.

Is there anyone who the author does like? (other than himself, naturally)

we're very lucky this topic has been so civil in spite of the author being..well,not a nice person to put it lightly

Nina Paley, the cartoonist and filmmaker who put his name as a signatory to the J.K. Rowling support letter. She very likely inspired Tats' anti-surrogacy stuff.

We've been less civil in the past, and we were thumped for it.

Looks like the start of a religious sermon if the priest was into puppetry

There is a tiny gleam here from original Sinfest, with Slick interacting casually with God and Him trolling Satan through his devil-puppet. I kinda get a chuckle of God using forced-perspective to make it look like Satan is riding the blimp, but it would be funnier if he did this to rile up the Devil as he used to do. Then there is the pesky context that ruins anything good about this strip.

God puppet trying to make Satan look like an egotistical buffoon might be a bit more effective if we didn't keep seeing concrete evidence that Satan's plan was working while the "heroes" are either fundamentally useless or completely disconnected from the situation.

What is the purpose of the goddamn blimps?

Think about it from a world building perspective for a minute.

Why would anyone ever launch a fleet of blimps with random faces on it? Who would know what it means? What goal was accomplished by doing this?

My best guess was Tats thought he was being clever

In universe it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever

Perhaps as a symbol of totalitarian rule? How many times have bad guys used blimps as their airforce of choice in fiction?

The constant neon-lights are an eyesore, especially as the clashing colours make it hard to see what the hell is going on. At first I didn't notice the cancel-emoji symbols above Slick, so I genuinely thought that the woke-thugs gave him a new phone.
