I was watching this guy's videos, and I think this might be relevant.
Start at 2:54 if you want to skip to the more relevant part.
But anyway, I agree that the number of possibilities available are, well, awe-inducing.
Ruining everything forever.I wasn't arguing about the existance of any god, or if our lives are predestined because of their unlikelyhood. I was just being amazed at the ripple effect, how small things can easily lead to very big changes in life.
I know. Most of the video wasn't relevant, I just thought it might... I dunno... be interesting?
Ruining everything forever.Ah. It was.
Eh, I sometimes think of that, but I think its rather useless to live in past anyway, so I brush those thoughts off.
Hmm. Yes. A whole mess was triggered simply because I opted to send a text to someone only tangentially related. Seriously, I almost didn't do it.
I always think about this. Like in a game of dodgeball, I might have missed somebody, but I still might of gotten us to win the game by throwing that ball.
Soul is ugly.
You ever look back at your life and realize just how differently things could've gone, for better or worse, if you had just made one miniscule choice? For instance, if you hadn't been in at the same place at the same time, you might not have met somebody who has become your best friend, or even your significant other. Sometimes these things are determined by matters of seconds. If you had done just one thing that took up that one second and missed them, you never would've met. Who knows how our lives would be if we made just a few different decisions.
It just awes me how small things can cause big things.
