Convert to an Index:: Hentai

Forgive me if this is being posted in the wrong place.

In relation to this discussion, the question arose of how one would go about getting approval to change an already existing page into an index, so I'm bringing it here.

I think that Hentai would have value as a Work index, since it is looked upon as something quite different from other anime by most of the fandom. In addition, someone who is interested in a few Hentai works would probably want to see more of them, so having a nifty indexed list would come in handy. Since we don't have works pages for a lot of H titles, this could also encourage more of them to be added.

So, any thoughts? Would anyone object to me making this change?

As I said in the other thread, I think there should be an Adult Content index, with a hentai sub-index and Doujin Game sub-index as well. This site deals with factual information, so I see no reason to not make an index for porn.

...Not all Doujin games have adult content.

Even some doujin games that do have adult content are by no means hentai or anything close.

It'd be like listing, say, American Beauty as being adult content for some nudity.

I will be doing a YKTTW for an index that includes all Adult works, which Hentai would be a sub-index of. However, I'd like to keep the discussion here on the question of the Hentai page itself for now... other ideas can continue to be discussed in the Trope Talk thread I linked in the OP.

I know that not all doujin games are adult content. Recettear is proof of that, but you do know what I mean.

Bumping this, to ensure that there are no objections before I make the change.

Hentai is a genre, so no reason not to have an index based on it.

To be honest, I was quite surprised it wasn't an index already.

One final bump on this. I have not had any dissenting opinions on the matter here, the wiki talk thread, or the discussion page. If I don't hear anything by Friday (10-08), I will go ahead and make the changes necessary.

By the way, DRCEQ, it appears that adult video games already have an index. Eroge.

Yeah, Eroge/H-Game can be a subindex. Doujin Game should not.

Do it, make it an index. DOO EET!

Waiting until Friday will make me feel more comfortable in that everyone will have had a fair amount of time to express any concerns they might have. So as long as a bunch of argument doesn't pop up between now and then I will go ahead and do it.

Ok (I think) I'm done with this. I had a lot of editing to do, both to alphabetize the list and to seriously condense some extremely long examples. The page really seemed to be in need of some de-nattering, though, so all in all that was a good thing.

I also had to do a flurry of corrective edits after putting the index code in to take the wiki-words out of the red linked examples, and to properly pothole some of the pages that I didn't realize linked to redirects. So if anyone momentarily saw High Octane Nightmare Fuel on the Hentai index, that's why.

I think I have it all working right now. I've scrolled through the indexed articles to make sure they all link to valid pages. If someone would like to check behind me and make sure I didn't miss anything, I would appreciate it.

edit: Well, everything seems to be in working order here, so I will ask for a thread lock.
