Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

I booted up FFVI again and why the hell does poisoning Doma's water instantly kill the entire kingdom?
Did they all jump in the community pool at the same time or something?
I just assume that the in-universe time scale doesn't match up with how it happens in-game.
I saw it as a magic poison that kills through vapors.
Bleye knows Sabers.I saw it as technological limitations limiting how to portray the story the writers wanted to tell and them hoping Willing Suspension of Disbelief would take care of the rest.
It's just really good poison I assume.
Like, there's some shit in the real world that kills you most near instantly. So a super poison that downs you the moment you take even a little bit in a fantasy world isn't so unbelievable.
What I do admit is believable is that everyone managed to take this poison at the exact same moment. They must have organized tea time or something.
One Strip! One Strip!I mean, I didn't even think about it after playing through that part multiple times so it worked as far as I'm concerned.
I took it as the poison being so potent that even breathing it was fatal. It probably is magically enhanced poison too. Heck, maybe it was created using the Bio magic.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI mean hell, if we're gonna be nitpicking, it is absolutely impossible that a single person could be carrying enough of that to render an entire river poisonous, you'd need tons of it.
Yeah, most things in video games, especially ones from that era, are working on some level of abstraction. The battles and world map are even more obvious than the story and characterization in terms of things the player is filling in the gaps for.
I can only imagine how they’ll handle this if they decide to fully remake it.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I could genuinely see 6 working in a 3d space, it's just that it would have to commit to a fully rendered, detailed world. Maybe not 7 Remake levels, but the setting has a lot of potential for beautiful scenery and architecture, and could really flesh out the cast nicely.
If nothing else, the cutscene of Kefka blowing the planet up would certainly be pretty impressive.
I am super hyped for the Crystal Chronicles Remaster.
The original was the most value I ever got out of a cent (wanted to buy a GBA-Link Cable for 14,99€ only to see one bundled with CC for 15€)
but I never got to play it with more than 1 other friend, so being able to play my entire circle of friends who don't even have to buy the game is awesome.

I had so much fun with CC back in the day, even without friends. I'm so hyped
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaSo can you play it solo?
Yeah, a moogle controlled by the AI will carry the chalice for you. You have to go about the dungeons a bit more methodically than multiplayer but it still works

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."That's not terribly surprising, to be honest. I think it's becoming clearer and clearer that this kind of behavior is depressingly common in the videogame industry.

Also, certain magic is restricted because you need a partner to use the same spell
New theme music also a boxThe moogle could also cast magic with you (I forget exactly how), but that would require the moogle to drop the chalice for a bit.
Also, the "What's new for the port" video shows you can link magic together to create powerful magic in single-player, which I think you couldn't do before.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I preferred playing Crystal Chronicles solo. Made it easy for me to fill in the story gaps in my head.
Although I fully expect me and my friends would totally act like the madcap adventuring party we where in the game if we did find ourselves in that situation.
Has anyone seen this? It speaks to me on every level.
Apparently Penelo just ceased to exist.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.And nothing of value was lost.
Man
FF 25 may not be a complete joke after all
