So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

I'm a little disappointed the faces are more stylized then the more realistic rendering the FMV and artwork had in the original release to be honest, that said they look really well done all the same.

I kinda dropped FFBE after it kept crashing my phone with the latest update and when I heard all the bad shit going down I jumped to Opera Omnia and never looked back.
Plus DFFOO treated my gal Rydia with more respect than FFBE did.

Anyone find it funny how Episode Ardyn is the only one not included in either the Royal Pack for free or the original season pass?

Eh, even in LR I thought it didn't suit her. I like Yuna's outfit though, unlike default she doesn't look weird in it, and I actually wanted it over Gunner.

Yeah the Lightning outfit didn't even fit in LR, she even mentioned that in that game but it was required for the show she was to crash.
Wish they had gone with some of her truly good costumes like the Velvet Bouncer [1]
, Urban Outlaw [2]
, Cold Rebellion [3]
or even the Locke inspired Heartstealer [4]
Even if fanservice was there intention there are better outfits for that that even better fit Lightning or are joke/cameo costumes.
Lightning is such a fashionista it's great.

Also, while VII-R is at Gamescom, its just the E3 demo again. We might actually get some direct feed gameplay of the demo, but don't expect anything new till TGS (which is 3 weeks from now)
