Knuckles (Sonic Series Event)

Be interesting to see how the six episode format works, especially with however long each episode is too. A binge would probably be longer than just one of the movies certainly, though probably not by much though.

If the series ends up having some kind of Sequel Hook that'll lead into the third movie, I am going to binge-watch both movies and the series with mom close to the movie's release.

I just hope that this series doesn't turn out like the MCU TV series and force the viewers to watch this show in order to understand what's going on with the third movie (ex: WandaVision for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness)

You think Shadow would get a miniseries next? Or would he get a movie?

Possibly if Shadow doesn't have Easy Amnesia with Fake Memories, he could receive a mini-series of his independent travels.

Cool. Anyone think there’s a chance we’ll see flashbacks of Knuckles’ past? Maybe a Chaotix cameo?

If the show's accessible enough that people will seek it out because of the next movie, that could help it even if it does tie-in somehow. You look at the GotG Holiday Special and how that only vaguely connected to Volume 3 and it helped that movie significantly though. I could see the same thing applying here being to the definite benefit of the upcoming movie for that reason and I still think the show's gonna be successful as well.

I do hope that we get more insight on Knuckles' backstory and on what happened to his tribe.

I think this will definitely be a case of it helping to enhance and contextualise Sonic 3 without being required to understand it. Like the aforementioned Guardians Holiday Special with Guardians 3.

It was recently announced that Keanu Reeves will voice Shadow.

To bring this back to the Knuckles show, think he'll have a brief cameo? Like one of his scenes from Sonic 3 will somehow be worked into the show?

There might be either a brief cameo or at least a brief reference to Shadow at the very end of the last episode, though I doubt we'll here Reaves speak.

Yeah, I'm not sure at what point during the productions of both the Knuckles show and Sonic 3 Keanu was voicing Shadow, but I doubt he'll show up in the Knuckles show at this point.

As was said, if he does, it's only gonna be a cameo. Not sure when they cast him. Not sure how far back it was.

Maddie has a stern talk to Sonic and Tails about Knuckles. (Apparently Movie Sonic is inching closer to being more like Game Sonic in being a good understander of other people?) Anyway, Sonic agrees to have a talk with Knux when the time is right...which is sooner than later because Knux has Ozzy up on the roof.

I guess the writers assumed the best part of Sonic 2 was the whole wedding rampage.

Let's hope this doesn't bode badly for Sonic 3.
