Beat Cocolia and got the Preservation power. That was a really cool fight, also surprisingly easy, but that may be because I had a level 40 Natasha, Serval, and Asta in the group. Ripped through the break bar like it was paper, and having giant robot arm help you was awesome as hell.
"In a move surprising absolutely no one"Y… Yeah, super easy fight. Didn’t give me any trouble at all, I mean why would it?
…Oh, I guess I reached the end of the main story for now. Didn’t expect Dan Shu to be the cult’s boss considering how much she hates her longevity. Although if she thinks Abundance helps her heal her eyesight, that might explain it.
I chose to let her go, but I wonder what happens if you choose to fight?
edit: …Wait a minute, her Dark and Troubled Past entry has tons of extra info on her background, where do they come from?

She didn't hate the longevity per-se, it was more the fucked up form of longevity they have where physical disabilities are incurable. Because Abundance could give her the benefits of longevity without the downside she understandably considered it worthy of support.

"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnQuestion: Is it all enemies that deal ice damage that're completely immune to freezing, or just full-on ice elementals? I wanna know if using Remembrance is remotely viable for SU 6
It entirely depends on the enemy's Debuff RES. If they have 100% Ice RES like Cocolia (Complete), then there's no chance of freezing them as it stands. If it's not 100% like Gepard Complete's 75%, then you have a chance at freezing them. Most of the time, the enemies dealing Ice damage do have 100% Ice RES. From my experience, not even 3-star Blessings of Remembrance nor the Resonance can freeze those enemies with 100% Ice RES.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainSo as far as I understand, the elemental RES only affects status effects, right? It has nothing to do with actually reducing damage of a specific element.
Okay, I found the first part of Dan Shu’s diary… It dives a bit deeper on some of the shit she went through, but I don’t know where to find the second part.
Back on Jarilo, Hook’s questline was simple but cute as hell. It helps that her Korean voice is heart-meltingly adorable. And I can appreciate that the character quests are relatively short so far.
The fight club event is… really piss easy, surprisingly. Then again, my Physical Stelle is a steamroller on enemies with physical weakness (and occasionally those without it). Hopefully she won’t get powercreep too quickly.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Huh, cleared SU 6 more or less by accident. Was really just trying to spend my immersifiers and fill out my Destruction records, but having bad luck with blessings— nearly wiped on the first elite. Then I got that +SP error code, and yeah
Hmm, on the character page I see many characters listed as Expies, so I checked the trope again.
And while I can sort of buy it for, say, Sampo being inspired by Joseph Joestar, listing Clara as an Expy of Nahida is really a stretch if you ask me. They both have white hair and bare feet… and that’s pretty much it.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Yeah thats not a thing there.
About the only real Expies in the game though are the Honkai Impact inspired characters like Natasha and Raven, Silver Wolf and Bronya, Bronya and Bronya, and so on.
Clara says she gets dizzy wearing shoes in one of her convos, complete vertigo. (The world apparently does not have sandals...) Nahida has straps on her feet as part of her costume but that's about it, they share literally no connection.
Nahida however shares a ton with Theresa Apocalypse, to the point of sharing the same VA, Theresa Apocalypse's Verdant Sky outfit is clearly an adult Nahida and they both are leaders of a school they technically founded.
The only expy I could buy for Clara is being Ilya from the Fate series.
"In a move surprising absolutely no one"Uh, does the Forgotten Hall seriously want me to split my team from stage 12 onward? I only have six characters trained, and I have severe doubts that I'll be able to finish getting a seventh up to snuff before the cap increases again
The only expy I could buy for Clara is being Ilya from the Fate series.
...Ilya is an adult woman with a nasty cruel streak. They have a few design similarities, but that's about it
Huh, Kafka kicked my ass in SU 5 (*cough*not that I mind*cough*), but it still felt considerably easier than 4 overall. I tried the Destruction signets this time, and I was surprised to find they are much more focused on HP and defense than on damage. Also damn, Yaoshi looks creepy.
The Fight Club event was piss easy until the end, actually even more this time since we had a trial Himeko to nuke everything.
What do you mean "before the cap increases again"? I don’t think level requirements for FH are gonna change.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.x2 I've only done the first 4 stages of the Forgotten Hall myself because my characters are underleveled but from what I hear you need two teams after a certain point, yeah. I've heard it was around 15 stages in from my sister but I dunno if she's done the Forgotten Hall herself or just heard that number elsewhere.
As for the expy discussion our page says they are specifically a reference to an older character but are still their own characters. Clara doesn't have to be the exact same type of character as Illya to be an expy of her.

Managed to finish the tournament event, so I went ahead and upgraded my equilibrium level. Spent about 2 hours getting my main team upgraded, and got lucky enough to pull Gepard. Overall a pretty good night. Going to need to continue the story tomorrow.
"In a move surprising absolutely no one"By the way, I am new here, but I think that this statement is worthy to add in IX's section in the Aeon's page

Might as well have to link the discussion here since we're now finally talking about Expy examples.
For those who are not aware, some examples have been constantly moved around various tropes, say:
- Troper A added Mythology Gag to Himeko saying she's like Himeko Murata from HI3.
- Troper B moved that same example to Company Cross References.
- Troper A (or another one, say Troper C) moved that same example to Expy.
Alternatively:
- There was originally a Mythology Gag example in an HSR character saying she's very much like her counterpart character from HI3.
- Troper B moved that same example to Expy
Alternatively:
- There are 2 tropes (Mythology Gag and Expy) saying an HSR character is very much like her counterpart from HI3. Yes, two things basically refer to the same thought, but one is longer than the other.
Alternatively:
- An HSR character is very much like a character from HI3 or Genshin, but it's troped under Company Cross References.
To summarize, Star Rail tropers on the character pages can't seem to finalize a trope when they want to say "This Star Rail character is a lot like this character from Honkai Impact 3rd or Genshin Impact. I really have noticed this for several days, and would like fellow editors to agree on which trope(s) is/are the best, depending on the situation. Am I the only one noticing that there's a problem or inconsistency here?
You could also say that somebody likes using Company Cross References, but it's been constantly challenged and moved by other editors to different tropes.
While the discussion page has been joined by 2 other tropers so far, the current or planned ideas was that:
- If the Honkai: Star Rail character is very much like one singular character from Genshin (say Asta and Mona), the likely trope would be Expy. It goes way beyond Company Cross References (thus CCR won't be used).
- If the Honkai: Star Rail character is very much like another character from Honkai Impact 3rd, it also goes way beyond Company Cross References (thus CCR won't be used), so the best likely trope might be Alternate Self (one troper in the discussion justified that the Honkai games are dealing with alternate selves and multiverse). Expy might still be another option however, but the 2 other tropers so far have voted for Alternate Self over it.
I'd like to ask if there are objections and alternative options here.
Honestly, this is the hard part of troping stuff when the franchise has established a multiverse or multiple worlds at one point. (Star Rail even had to add a data entry for the "Imaginary Tree", which was the idea/concept of something housing multiple worlds, way back in Honkai Impact 3rd).
Anyway, fellow troper @Ano Baka Desu has also PM'd me with the idea that Expy examples might've been brought to the Expy Cleanup thread first, but I said in that thread that the problem did not originally start off by dealing with Expy examples (it was originally Company Cross References and Mythology Gag).
The last alternative is that we take all (or some) examples that are currently listed Expy to a thread to have them verified and cleaned-up. I personally doubt Sampo is an Expy of Joseph Joestar, for example.

With Great Power, Comes Great MotivationWhile on the subject of Expy, I would like to have this example on Characters.Honkai Star Rail Herta Space Station checked out by Hoyo veterans because I'm really not sure if Herta Space Station is a deliberate reference to the SCP Foundation, and the lack of genuine horror involved in HSS makes me doubt this is intentional at all.
- Expy: A vague one of the SCP Foundation. Herta Space Station is a politically neutral and isolated facility that tasks itself with housing and researching highly unusual and dangerous objects and creatures. Curio research is typed up into standardized reports, an internal militia exists to suppress containment breaches, and events that would be strange or outrageous anywhere else are seen as commonplace, much like a Foundation Site. The existence of various memetic threats aboard the station only furthers the resemblance. The only difference from its source inspiration is that there is no genuine horror to intentionally scare the viewer, and any horror elements present on the station are either downplayed or Played for Laughs.
I'd say Alternate Self works best here.
"In a move surprising absolutely no one"So there was a sizable patch, but there's no new quests that I can find, the changelog only lists text changes, and we're not due for any events...?
I'm really not sure if Herta Space Station is a deliberate reference to the SCP Foundation, and the lack of genuine horror involved in HSS makes me doubt this is intentional at all.
Not a Hoyo veteran, but I am a longtime SCP fan, and... the entry is overstating it's case a bit, but the similarities are still pretty striking, particularly with curios not really being a part of the lore outside of the station. I don't think the lack of horror matters? Plenty of SCP stuff isn't scary. I'd say it's most likely intentional, especially with the SCP Foundation having a sizable Asian following
Alright, thanks for the input. I'll leave the entry be under the assumption that it's an intentional reference on Hoyo's part.
Doing Clara’s hangout quest, I realize that the design of those fist-shaped bomb robots makes no sense. They’re cute though.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Man, Abundance makes everything SO much easier for SU. I have no idea how I would have survived Kafka’s third phase without the constant healing. >.> And now, on to SU 6. Pray for me.
Doing Natasha’s second quest "Blizzard Immunity", it’s sadly ironic that her brother ultimately did succeed in his endeavor, at least partially. I still wonder why no one in 700 years had the idea to invent synthetic fur coats or cold-proof suits. Going into a blizzard with metal armor also seems like a terrible idea. >.>

If you're seeing 30s it's definitely equilibrium level. Hm, probably going to expect me to be maxed out by the end, but that should be manageable
