It's a recurring thing across most of the Transformers brand, characters are thrown in because they have a toy to sell and will demand characters be removed if the toy is cancelled or not doing well. Beast Wars was far from exempt, but the CGI novelty meant it would cost too much to build a bigger cast. Tigatron, Airazor, Scorponok and Terrorsaur were all removed they were outdated toys and they wanted room for new characters. The writers were quoted as saying because of this they ended each season with the attitude of "Everyone is about to die, let Hasbro sort it out." Bumblebee was the one movie that wasn't backed by a major toyline and thus they had a lot more freedom on actually choosing the characters to have in the story. The 07 movie was also much better for that restraint. Every movie since has suffered in some way by excessive characters standing around to promote a toy. It's why TF Wiki has the page "To Sell Toys," writers and directors can squeeze some creativity on the side but they are not really in control.

Do you not know that in the service one must always choose the lesser of two weevils!

Given Rise of the Beasts was giving the Sequel Hook of a GI Joe crossover—presumably with Snake Eyes being the one canon film, that'll have a lot of opportunities to garner interest through both advertising and merchandising for sure.

I'm surprised that they are making the G.I. Joe crossover with Transformers. I wonder how the relationship between the characters would be like?

I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!

"Hopefully its in the vain of World's Finest and not Dawn of Justice."

Yeah, me too. It better not be another Bv S: Do J fiasco. It better be a great crossover in the likes of both Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

If it lives up to its promise of the Autobots and the Joes working together instead of going up against each other's throats, it'd make decent $$$ @ the box office, regardless of critical reception.

I saw this movie on the big screen back in July of 2023.

It was a solid flick that had a good, character-driven story with a good mix of action in it, with the Autobots, the Maximals, and the two humans being likable characters all the way through, with the villains being unredeemable.

This movie's story was about three heroic groups who start off not knowing each other, then setting aside their differences to fight the evil forces, knowing that they are stronger together when they are united as one, and end up being good friends who had their lives changed for the better.

I personally adored the character growth that Noah and Optimus Prime got in the film. They start out as outsiders who don't care for others and are completely preoccupied with the ones that they are looking out for the most, but they shed their inner demons over the course of the film, realize that their goals are the same, and ultimately decide to make peace with each other and work together with the others as as well as each other. And I like on how they became good friends at the end of the film.

Mirage was serious fun, and Pete Davidson killed it (read: did really good), performance-wise. He was also a great pick for Noah, for being his Robot Buddy.

This movie teaches the importance of unity, courage, empathy, and The Power of Friendship. Also, when it comes to kids, I would recommend this movie for bigger kids (for me, I'd say 5+ if they are mature enough) rather than the toddler and preschooler crowd (Ages 4 and below, IMO) because the movie is quite dark (tonally) in spots, plus the villains - especially the Big Bad and the Greater-Scope Villain are both evil and very scary.

Also, the Autobots are going to work together with the Joes instead of going up against each others' throats and bounded by internal warfare. I can't wait for the upcoming crossover movie to be titled Transformers X G.I. Joe.

Bring it on. ;)
