Not Tropeworthy: Turtle Power

To-do list:

Per the laconic of Turtle Power, the trope is "Turtles are awesome." Which is to say, it's not a trope. However, I performed a wick check to determine what reasons this trope was being used for. For 50 wicks, I got 53 examples. The results are summarized as follows:
  • Character is turtle-inspired creature: 19/53 or 35.8%
  • Character is a turtle: 7/53 or 13.2%
  • Character is a magical turtle: 3/53 or 5.7%
  • Character has turtle-inspired powers: 2/53 or 3.8%
  • Turtle-inspired mech: 2/53 or 3.8%
  • Pet turtle: 2/53 or 3.8%
  • Turtles are part of the work: 5/53 or 9.4%
  • Ancient turtle species appears: 3/53 or 5.7%
  • Other: 4/53 or 7.5%
  • ZCE/LCE: 6/53 or 11.3%
"Other" contained a one-off comic involving turtles, someone's religious beliefs involving a turtle, a dinosaur that has some turtle-like resemblance, and someone with a turtle motif.

What to do? "Characters whose designs are inspired by turtles" comprises the biggest chunk of wicks. Is that trope-worthy? Regardless, this trope with its current definition is chairs and should either be overhauled or cut.

I handled that wick.

Nice work. Locking as resolved.

Crown Description:

Turtle Power has been treated as "turtles exist". It was also noted that Index In A Half Shell may be redundant with Shell Tropes. What action(s) should be taken?
