In this thread, we can bring over characters from this other thread and act out some scenes. Have at it!

I have arrived, as expected. Now, let us do the activities and shenanigans that I have foreseen.

Do we have to go to the role playing sign up(if there is one) first or if we already participated in the original forum game can we get in without signing up?

There is no signup. Also, this thread has the same canon as the avatar RP thread, so... what's the environment, and who else is involved?

let's say...it's an interdimensional park. For now.

But there's still no incentive (or method) for any other characters to come here. Sure, Icarus could bring them over, but IC, nobody else knows about this place.

Perhaps we can role play some random simple game/sport, to get the action going and the winning avatar gets some trophy or prize. And for the lack of players...let's just link this thread in our next posts on it's forum game counterpart.

Well, we don't have to use this thread all the time. I was planning to use it tomorrow to act out Icarus showing off his new particle detector, and we may use it in the future to act out some other stuff, too

As soon as we meet for the first time, your traumatized rump immediately has shown that you want me dead. Listen here, the kind of world you live in has multiple branches of predetermined fates for you, and almost all of them are bad. Now then, let us wait for the others.

WE ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE HERE BESIDES THE ROBOT!

No one else has participated, and the robot guy seems pretty nice so I thought he was unlikely to be the recipient of that.

Good, what happened was all according to Fate.

it's bit tricky to show the Prophet as knowing the future when twists and unexpected things happen like what we just did. So expect me to do this a lot or reveal that the Prophet meant to do the thing that did not age well because of his greater scope plans.

Why am I in this “S2-sized” package?

It’s the heaviest thing we can carry without one of those PRAWN suits.

So what? You have me. I’m big and can lift big things. Probably bigger than one of those suits.

🎵In the- STILL NO!

🎵 At the museum- Quit it already!

What? They’re good songs.

I just don’t want everyone to hear them. They’re annoying songs, if you ask me.

We’re back! And…not in the Ark. Strange.

It is strange. There’s new people here too!

Somewhere in the sky, a transport vessel appears, bearing the all too familiar Exotic Ventures logo on its underside - a stylized Venn diagram with three elements. Twenty meters above the ground, the vessel stopps descending, and a hatch opens, revealing a small humanoid robot with a cubical head, offroad rollerblades and a jetpack. The robot completes the landing by himself and makes a weird gesture towards his vessel, which promptly disappears back into the sky. Then he turns back around to face the group and displays a confused expression on his face screen.

"l am here because I have foreseen this event. Please wait for the others to come."

if nobody else joins I'll play off that last sentence as a prank by the prophet.

The robot sighs, and pulls out a crude assembly of two metal plates, connected by a bolt. He holds one of the plates loose between his fingertips and lets the other plate swing. The two plates start jittering, affecting each other as both make erratic movements.

"Alright. Hm..."

The makeshift pendulum has stopped due to drag.

"Lemme get a screen, actually, this works way better as a computer simulation."

The robot holds his index and middle finger up to his temple for a few seconds, then looks back at the prophet.

"While we wait for a better screen - what I've just shown you is called a Double Pendulum, and it's a chaotic system - this means that the same initial conditions always produce the same results, but similar initial conditions don't produce similar results. Here in reality, it's obviously impossible to always set the same initial conditions, that's why I'd prefer a simulation here, but oh well.

Anyways, I didn't show you this without a reason - if a double pendulum shows chaotic behaviour here in reality, that means that reality is a chaotic system, sensitive to initial conditions. Now, if you take a prophecy, i.e. a later state of the system and feed it back into itself, you've just changed the initial state. Add one and one together and - well, how do prophecies work?"

Suddenly, the robot shows an alerted expression.

"Oh, gosh, I'm so rude! Sorry for not introducing myself! Hi, I'm Icarus, from the thread, and you're the guy who talked about prophecies, I assume?"

Icarus holds out his robot hand for a handshake.

The Prophet accepts the handshake.

"Yes, I am the one who talked about the prophecies and Fate, also known as "killjoy". I am still handling the information...how much damage have I done?! I am a walking prophecy, foreseeing things and making them true. Is this the reason for why reality is so easy to manipulate and exploit? Is it because of me and others similar? Please, give me some time to think about it."

"why would a force of reality make something that breaks it?"

"Honestly, I don't know how much damage you've done, or if you've done any in the first place. Maybe your home universe isn't a chaotic system, and you're central to it... somehow? That would raise the question of how this universe can sustain you... hmm..."

The robot tilts his head upwards, thoughtfully.

"Oh, that reminds me, the identity decay detector! You wanted to be there, right? Hold up, let me get the dropship."

And with that, he held two fingers up to his temple again.

"It's gonna be here in a couple of minutes. I can tell you a bit about my theory on interuniversal physics while we're waiting, if you want to."

Sorry for letting you wait, Mom wanted me to cook dinner

[up]x7 Oh. We got here thanks to the Ark…who’s somehow both in our S2 Package and in themselves.

Mind copying is a weird thing.

Interuniversal physics? Is that the differing laws of physics between universes or something?

I still don’t get this “universe” stuff.

You know galaxies? Imagine lots of those, spaced out like the stars. A lot of galaxies. Several million trillion galaxies. That’s what a universe is.

Hey everyone! Yes, us gods are here, although in slightly reduced form.

somehow we got on too…

Not Them again. You know what? They’re small, we can’t reason with them, let’s just peck them to death. Blaze, you stomp on the little spider-things.

   Why? They seem cute.

Well we can’t just have them running amuck and wrecking everything!

   Ok…

[down] I know that, but these spider-things are the X’qal’narai(those weird invaders that tortured us a while back) we were fighting. As to why they aren’t extinct, the problem is sheer numbers. There’s about 3^^^3 of them. Yes, there’s a tritri X’qal’narai. Even Laniakea doesn’t know how that’s possible unless they have a multiversal empire.

The Prophet paces around seemingly confused, thinking about something. He loses his dull demeanor and looked slightly worried.

"Why the FATE is my foreseeing slightly inaccurate? I bluffed about things going all according to plan, but why is it inaccurate? I didn't foresee that child revealing that he was thinking aloud. I need to check up on my foreseeing with Fate after this."

this character is a bit hard to roleplay considering the fact that he knows the future and should understand everything and not have any mistakes, but in role plays his character is hard to play correctly considering all of the unexpected things that can happen. So I will let the Prophet see the cool things he wants to see, then have him leave for the reason mentioned in his dialogue. After that, I will change my avatar. Just letting you know in advance.
