Spoilers are fully revealed for chapter 1048, "20 Years".
Chapter starts with Momonosuke keeping pushing Onigashima to avoid Luffy's technique, while Kaidou prepares for the clash with it by using transformation Kaen Daikonote , which puts him on fire, and when his body touches Onigashima's horn, it melts like butter. Kaidou declares he will melt Luffy's arm.
Luffy responds by saying he doesn't need to to touch Kaidou, since he learned Ryūō from Hyōgorō and throws Gomu Gomu no Bajrang Gunnote , while Kaidou answers with Shōryū - Kaen Hakkenote , resulting in brief Conqueror's Haki clash.
We change scene to inside the castle, where we see Usopp worrying about Kin'emon and Kiku, several samurai wishing Kaidou's defeat and Kawamatsu remembering what happened after Oden's execution 20 years ago, starting a flashback.
- Kaidou finds out that Oden has a son.
- Kaidou goes for Momonosuke and eliminates all the townspeople who stand before him.
- We see how Oden's castle has burned down.
- The Wano's Daimyō band together to fight Kaidou and Orochi.
- We see a vignette of each Daimyō, they are Tonoyasu and the 3 samurai that Yamato met in the cave (including Shimotsuki Ushimaru).
- They are all defeated.
- Orochi and Beasts Pirates start enslaving people and the country falls apart.
We return to Orochi and Hiyori, where former is still on fire, but has transformed and is about take Hiyori with him, but Denjirō cuts Orochi's head just in time. We then see the wishes that people of Wano sent to sky earlier, some of them being Orochi disappearing.
On the other half of last double pages, Luffy and Kaidou's fight go trough second Conqueror's Haki clash, still with same techniques.

I noticed that Luffy's fist shrank a bit this chap, still huge, but not as big as the island. Kaido seems to be using something similar to Enel's desperation move here, he's engulfed himself in a bigger flame version of himself that's matching Luffy's fist in size now.

Apparently Luffy's attack this chapter can be translated as "Gum Gum Monkey King Gun". Fitting.

No, that's Kong Gun. Bajrang Gun is "Monkey God Gun".

Its likely both would be passable, even if Monkey God Gun might be more technically accurate. I kind think Monkey King Gun fits Luffy better, but I guess we'll see what the official translation goes with...

Except kanji for technique is 猿神銃, literally "Monkey God Gun", and Bajrang is another name of Hanuman
, a Hindu monkey god, so Monkey God Gun is fitting.
And, again, Kong Gun(猿王銃「コングガン」) is already "Monkey King Gun".

And yet the English releases used Kong Gun instead of Monkey King Gun? I'm not saying you're wrong, I trust that you're right. I'm saying the English versions play loose with translations all the time, and either would be plausible choices by that standard (even if it does confuse things when taking the literal translation into account).

Except Ninety and I weren't talking about Viz translation, we were talking about the literal translation of kanji for Bajrang Gun, and I simply corrected Ninety.

I don't really care about how the whole Orochi thing resolved itself. Hiyori had everything perfectly under control, she was going to fulfill her wish of getting to be the one to bring down Orochi and be the One Piece princess that actually manages to do something and step up and not be protected or rescued herself... only for him to get back up for the sole purpose of letting Denjiro come in and steal the show. It felt like the two characters got in each other's way: from the story standpoint, either one could have perfectly well soloed Orochi - either Hiyori could have finished the job herself without the Diabolus Ex Machina, or Denjiro could've been around from the start to cut him up - yet now they had to share the cake and it just didn't work at all.
And now she's fawning against his chest and seems to have gone right back to the helpless little girl she's spent most of the story arc as. Joy.

He was already down. He was already done, burning, and dying. The seastone just being shaken off by a quake was like a genuine Ass Pull, just there for the sake of letting Denjiro get a hit in as well. From story standpoint it didn't need to happen and shouldn't have happened.
Alternatively, Denjiro could easily have taken him on even at his full strength, the sniveling Smug Snake that he is.
It really didn't feel like a team effort to me. It just felt arbitrary.
