Secret SignatureGarg: I will never die
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I love how half of the Ruination quartet has already been widely associated with a meme, Sad Cheems for Chien-Pao and Live Slug Reaction for Wo-Chien. Now we just need Chi-Yu and Ting-Lu to get the same treatment.
Personally I've been proposing using this as a meme for Chi-Yu
The fact that Chi Yu is "just" a fish is a meme in itself.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I mean, it's a pair of jade beads possessed by jealousy in the form of a volcanic fish, but sure, it's a fish.
It's been 3000 yearsβ¦Not really a meme, but I usually associate Chi-Yu with Koizilla, owed to the simple fact theyβre both devastating fish monsters.
βMy ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.βI think Chi-Yu could be a good candidate for the βKiller fish from San Diegoβ meme, although Iβve seen that one with Veluza more
Ting-Lu Iβve already seen someone put it over the βmanβ horse meme right here

Have you never before supped upon Pined Cone?Im surprised that Lumina Crash wasnt a big reason for Espartha being banned
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindSame, that move is pretty OP.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I guess Stored Power just snowballs way harder with Speed Boost, Lumina is more for raids. Granted they really should've banned just Speed Boost Espathra but complex bans and all that.
Secret SignatureLumina Crash is psychic type and this gen we've gotten a bunch of strong Dark types, but Espathra's main deal is Speed Boost and snowballing with stored power, plus, of course, Terastalization making a good Pokemon just uncounterable.
I know a lot of Dark Types have been introduced, but for all other pokemon its basically guaranteed to be a Two Hit KO. Unless they resist, in which case... like... 3
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindSo out of curiosity, if you transfer a Pokemon from the Legends games, do they still keep their unique Pokeball?
Edit: oh shit, thought I was in the regular thread.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Yeah Lumina Crash is overkill outside of raids becuase Stored Power can score KOs by itself. Its more of a Doubles move in that regard.
Plus it also has Dazzling Gleam so you know, if you set up enough C Ms you're fine. Clearly we need a Dark Unaware mon.
Secret SignatureI only ended up using an Espartha because I was doing an all Psychic-Types run and she was probably my second or third strongest Mon

Have you never before supped upon Pined Cone?See here. PokΓ©mon in Hisuian balls are displayed in Strange Balls in BDSP and HOME, but the ball is not recognized by SwSh, and shows up as a regular PokΓ© Ball. In SV, Hisuian balls will supposedly show up as Strange Balls too, but since SV arenβt compatible with HOME yet, Iβd assume they figured that out by looking at the code.

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!I think SV had the Hissui balls in its code, but gotta check.
EDIT: And nope, Strange Ball it is, and let's see if it can be passed through breeding.◊

I can't understand why not just put the code for these balls in future games.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.My guesses:
- the Watsonian one would be that the balls are so ancient that they shouldn't exist in the present. As well as the basic ones and the Heavy ball having modern equivalents.
- The Doylist reason would be that the devs do not want another rareball scenario like with the Apricorn balls, as even the basic pokeball in PLA is a design exclusive to there, and they just know that there would be people making elaborate trades for even a pokemon in those simply because it cannot be found in any other game nor obtained through mundane means
- Alternative, they do want another rareball scenario but want to wait first, my guess being until a new console arrives and the number of people that play PLA diminishes drastically, with the Strange Balls being palceholders until then.
- Another possibility is that they feel like the Hisuian ones clash too much with the modern balls. Basically, a standardization thing (the counterargument would be the Gen 3 and 4 balls that do not have a white "bottom", but those are more minor than the changes made for the Hisuian balls)

Espathra and Chien-Pao are banned from OU
