Junia, Size: 3 Inches

Junia walked up to her notepad and pen before remembering something, she was small and the pen that she once had on her hand was now bigger than her, she lays down next to the pen and begins to guess her own size, the pen is about like 5 inches and she close to that so that makes her… 3 Inches, she calms herself trying to not make this worst then it already is.

She gets up and grabs the pen was it the back or the legs she thinks to herself before looking to see that already has it on her two hands, Junia is surprised by this, she was expecting the pen to be a lot heavier, does she still have her human strength or is there something more, Junia walks up the note pad and begins to write down some words for Kat.

She writes it all down before ripping it off, she soon sees how far she is from her and gets an idea, she slowly begins to make a paper airplane smoothing it down before backing away to see her handy work, the airplane was a bit messed up with it being hard because of her new size, she grabs the airplane with ease before taking aim at Kat, she tosses the airplane and hopes for the message to reach her.

Pete looked down, thinking about the most recent incidents of being on Brock's bad side. It honestly seemed like not licking his boots clean was all that sufficed to get the oversized steroid addict angry. One of Pete's hands clenched, and he nodded his head, "I'm always on his bad side. Because I don't "appreciate" what his family does for the town, and what he supposedly "does" for the school."

Pete then went on, "And...my sister pranked me. Stuffed one of her Yaoi manga in my backpack. And now Brock's been doing that fucking accent. You know the one. Whenever I go by, he and his bros start talking like they bit their tongues, and chuckle like it's the funniest shit ever..."

He was interrupted before he could go on as he heard screaming coming from inside the room, "Like, seriously, holy shit, is everyone okay in there? That sounded like, really urgent. I think I should—-" And then Pete got almost knocked into a wall by George rushing out to go grab some water.

"Geez..." Pete groaned.

Armani

"Don't you DARE blame me for this!" Armani yelled at Willow. "This wasn't my fault! I had NOTHING to do with that stupid—"

He stopped, mouth slamming shut. Wait. Probably shouldn't talk about the book. "Ugh. Whatever. Still wasn't my fault."

I looked a little sheepish as the yelling continued.

"Ah man. I mean hopefully your sister has good taste in BL but I can see how that'd suck to be caught out with. Tell you what, you go in there and help these guys out and I'll go find Brock and tell him off, okay?"

I winked, only realizing I told Pete to go inside after I already said it.

"Just uh... Keep in mind that there's like. Stuff going on. Maybe pace yourself for some panic, just saying."

Katarina

Kat saw something out of the corner of her eye, sailing towards her like a drunken missile. She didn't even have to see it. She could feel it, her whiskers reaching out to a dozen different currents and drowning themselves all at once. Barely thinking, she swiped at the paper airplane, batting it towards the ground. It was a miracle she hadn't ripped it to shreds with her claws. Perhaps some part of herself had kept them in check?

Either way, she crouched down, only realizing her mistake once she got a better look. "'...oh.'' I suppose this is where I say 'my bad' and kiss and make up?" She made to pick up the airplane, fumbling about with her large paws as she tried not to tear it apart.

"A little help? I hate to ask, believe me, but this is harder than it looks..."

Junia, Size: 3 Inches

Once Kat has seen the flying message she tosses out hit Kat, she got into position, crossing her arms and having a disappointing look on her face with the slow nodding, this is how you do it she thinks to herself hoping for Kat to see where the paper airplane came from and for her to try not kill her again.

George

He was adjusting the collar of his suit which was drenched when he went to drink water except when he removed his hand the water in the collar of the suit is gone, George took note of this while listening to Pete, he kinda felt bad for the guy as when he was younger he was also a victim of vicious bullying before but what really sold the deal was Pete saying that Brock family does for this town no one can surpass his family name no one

"Say Pete, Peter, buddy, pal, comrade, friend, amigo, chum, champ i bet you reeeeeeally want that Brock to be stoped, how about you tell me where he is and i will have a "lil talk" with the guy, no strings attacheds this time pal, buddy, chum, comrade Peter boy"

It seemed like Pete was vastly more comfortable with Willow and their approach to things - nodding and saying, "So uh, what's going on in here? I mean it sounds like hell on earth in there...yelling, screaming and...cat noises...?" He tilted his head a little. "Okay, I'll uh, I'll help any way I can..."

But then George showed up and started making his own move on figuring out where Brock Jacobson was. Honestly, it seemed like Pete was pretty badly affected by the way George was approaching this.

More than a little bit intimidated, in fact, by the way George was acting, and Pete awkwardly said, "I...I think he was...at some football practice...? There was gonna be some like, spirit week-y event thing going on after or something..."

He started moving toward the door to the room where all this was going on. Hopefully he could get there without the weirdo talking more like a crook or something.

Oh great, George was trying to bogart in on my attempt to go confront the school's top dog. I rolled my eyes at him and nodded to Pete's remarks.

"Cool, cool. George, can you introduce Peter to whatever's happening in the gamer lair while I handle this with some actual tact?"

I gave Pete a wink and started walking off towards the generalized sporting field for the school.

George

"tact? you know brock the only language that guy speaks is neanderthal, to be honest, not much faith in you actually succeeding good luck I guess"

then he turned at Pete much less creepy this time as he noticed his attitude towards him in particular

"anyways, Pete what i am about to say is going to sound totally nonsensical but its what happened so, first we read a book that started to glow which made the windows go die, the glow gave us abilities, Uria can turn her arm into a tentacle, Junia now has a compact form, Lila splits her face into….something, Katarina becomes a kat" he did a small chuckle for the obvious pun " Sam is jelly and I can turn into sand, the others I havent noticed but that's was basically what is happening, pretty weird huh?"

Lila van Wieren

“That hurt, by the way. I felt it,” Lila hissed in somewhat of an aggravated tone, still nursing her jaw as she experimentally ran her tongue over her now sharpened teeth. “That was... disgusting. At least it was only my mouth. Bible-girl, didn't something similar happen to you? 'Cept... more of you? Did it hurt as well, or what...?”

Uria

How is a hug sexual? Uria almost asked, but that wasn't the point right now. Everyone was confused. Some had apparently been hurt.

"I don't think anyone has spare clothes here. I could go get my gym clothes, but I don't think they'd fit you." Then she spotted the paper airplane. Uria pointed towards the tiny girl on the table. "I think Junia wants to talk to you."

Uria then turned to Lila. "It wasn't like that, for me." Uria said, frowning at Lila. "We all got different powers, so I think our transformations were all different, even if they came from the same source. Mine... I heard things that should not be. Whispers in languages you can't pronounce. It was fascinating."

Strolling over to the table, Uria grabbed her own pencil and notepad and started taking brief notes, jotting them down in neat, tiny script. Starting with her memories of the transformation, then making a list of everyone in the club and their apparent powers. Lila's pain and thirst. Kat's difficulty controlling her cat instincts.

"It reminded me of H.P. Lovecraft, now that I think of it." Uria considered this. "Maybe our minds influence the powers we get? Though that makes me wonder why Armani didn't get any."

Katarina

"I don't know about you, but the only thing part of me that's been hurt is my pride." She winced as she glanced at her tail, twirling about as it wriggled around. She tried to cover the base, but with her sharp set of claws, she was only making it worse.

"Are you sure you don't have something lying around? I can't go out looking like this, can I? I may have turned into Sylvester's girlfriend, but the last thing I want to do is dress like it!"

It was then she noticed Junia, standing around and pouting on the table. She still couldn't remember what happened, but seeing her made her feel hungry...

"Is that you, Junia? You always were small of stature, but I never thought you'd stoop this low..."

Junia, Size: 3 Inches

She was grateful that one part of her plan worked now to see if she did read the paper, Junia looks up to see Kat and after hearing her she puts her hand into her head rubbing it, I guess she has a cat brain too, she walks up to her pen and begins to write down words, dropping the pen and walking to the notepad lifting it with ease, the words on the note says You almost ate me.

George

George shrugged at Lila "what other name should have to whatever happened to your face there, apart of something that is"

then he noticed Katarina asking for any clothes, he would think this a prime opportunity for showing off and because the situation was quite pitiful to him, he would take off his big jacket and hand it over to Katarina

"here, tie it around your waist, you can keep it I could buy like ten of these anyways"

Katarina squinted at the words, crouching down to get a better look. Her vision was sharper than ever, but it was getting harder to focus. "Alright, I think I—"

Before Katarina could finish reading the note, George came swooping in, offering her something to cover his bum. "Thank you. Everyone says that diamonds or jewels are a girl's best friend, but I've always found basic necessities more appealing. Though I wouldn't mind a taste of the finer things now and then..."

Just the thought of seeing a bunch of big shiny jewels was enough to distract her, her eyes as big as dish-saucers at the thought. It was enough to make her forget about the note altogether, even if doing so was a mistake on her part. But God help her, she couldn't stop thinking about the shinies...

Pete - Seeing Stars

Pete listened to all that went on in the room - but more than that, Pete saw what happened now, in full and in truth. He saw how one girl ended up so small, one girl ended up with the features of a cat, another had some strange Lovecraftian power...on and on, so many people changed in such a drastic way. All here, and...arguing, honestly. But as far as Pete was concerned, there was only one thing he could say about any and all of this;

"Ohhh WOW!!" He started, almost darting around the room as he looked at the empowered teens, "You guys are all like, given these powers and stuff...right? I'm not dreaming? I'm not? Like, you've all got basically the powers of a whole Justice League!"

He paced erratically back and forth, "You could be like, superheroes or something. You could do something here...something really great!"

Junia, Size: 3 Inches

Junia drops the notepad making it fall to the ground as she turns to see Pete, inside, seeing all of us, she doesn't know what to do, run, hide, talk, she doesn't know which one could be the right or wrong one, fight or flight.

Junia stands there on the table freezing up, looking at the wall.

Armani

...Wait a minute.

Armani's eyes swept the room, seeing the tiny Junia, the catlike Kat, the...whatever the hell Lila was. All of them had magic. All of them had gotten some...some grand power.

...except...

"IT SKIPPED ME!" Armani yelled, angrily turning and kicking the wall. He hissed a little in pain, but continued nevertheless. "I was there when it activated and— it skipped me! What the fuck?!"

At the moment of the light, it seemed to everyone else in the room as though Colchester Laurens had disappeared. But they didn't feel like they had disappeared. They felt... real.

More than that, they felt like they were the only really real thing in the universe. Everything else felt like a dream, or a shadow. Physical objects, people, the air, even Colchester's own body and emotions: they were aware of these things, but they weren't really there.

And when the light faded, the feeling did not. Colchester tried to walk over and open the door when the knocking started, only to find themself suddenly on the other side of the door, looking at Pete knocking. They could hear Pete perfectly (although his voice didn't seem to have any real volume, kind of like one's own thoughts but distinctly different), but soon realized that Pete couldn't see or hear them.

They returned to the room to see what was up. There was something horribly wrong with Lila's mouth (Colchester was vaguely, distantly aware of being disturbed by this, but the feeling felt as unreal as everything else), Katarina was turning into a cat, Junia was tiny, Armani seemed normal, George turned into sand, Uria's arm was a tentacle, and Sam was slime. A second or two ago, Colchester would have been shocked at this, but now they didn't care. Although they were a bit concerned for Lila’s well-being, what with the face-intestines and all.

Over the next minute or so, Colchester watched their peers' behavior dispassionately. In the process, they learned that 1) they moved by thinking, 2) they could walk through objects, 3) they could only hear someone talk if they wanted to listen, and 4) yelling didn't sound any louder than normal speech. They could tell the latter thing primarily because of all the yelling Armani was doing.

...And then, just as quickly as it had begun, Colchester's state of magically-reinforced solipsism ended. Once again their universe was full of things, not just shadows of things. Their own feelings were real again, but strangely, they felt a lot less controlled by those feelings.

Other people were real again, and with that, the realization that they had been spying on those people and that probably wasn’t good, even if they were already in the room and would have heard the whole conversation had they not been in… whatever state they were just in.

Everyone else in the room sees Colchester seemingly fade into existence: first their round glasses, then the rest of them. Heyy, everybody. Hey, Pete. Incidentally, I have been invisible, intangible, and able to see and hear what you guys are saying this whole time. Sorry about that. I should have come back sooner, but come to think of it, I don't really know how to become visible again. May be a problem.

George then turned to Pete

"so superheroes huh? seems like ....."

And then Armani started yelling again and George was getting quite tired of the screeching goblin

"Hey Armani buddy maybe you always had your power maybe your power is being REALLY loud and annoying congrats"

And then Colchester just appeared from the void which surprised George "What the? when did you disappear?"

Junia, Size: 3 Inches

Junia lost in thought was stopped by the voice of Colchester, she guesses that in the chaos there power activated, but how does it work and what was it like, she thinks to herself before going into action.

She walks to the edge on the table and grab into it before fall to the chair it hurts as she landed on the chair but she still continued as she drops down into her note pad for a soft landing she then grabs her pen and writes down What was it like before ripping it off, making a paper airplane and tossing it to Colchester.

Armani

"WHAT?!" Armani whirled to glare at George. "You...you...ugh!" He spun around on his heel and stormed out of the room, pushing Peter aside as he went with a muttered "sorry".

The paper airplane hits Colchester directly in the face. Augh - oh, wait. They reach down to pick it up and read it. What was it like? It was like... like nothing in the world was real except me. I could see things, but walk through them like they were nothing, I could hear things but they didn't have any volume. I could move pretty much instantly without even trying - it was like distance didn't exist either. And the weirdest part was, I didn't feel anything. Like, emotionally, I mean. I wasn't shocked by everyone's new powers, or scared, or confused, or anything. I mean, I was aware of what feelings I would feel, but I didn't really feel them. They were just as intangible as everything else.

Katarina

"Excuse me, but I don't think anyone here agreed to be heroes. All of us have our own matters to take care of, thank you very much, as you can plainly see. Noooyyyya, if you'd kindly saunter off and forget this ever happened, perhaps we can attempt to nyaa-ip this in the... in the..."

Katarina couldn't put her finger on it, but something felt... off. There were hundreds of things that were off, such as their current situation, but this one felt oddly specific. To the others, her voice was becoming ever higher-pitched, but it was the last thing on her mind

"...i'm nyaaat sure what, but I feel as though something is... amiss. There are dozens of things amiss, the biggest that we're all a living menagerie of freaks. We may as well start selling tickets now, because if he knows, then we may as well join the nearest zoo. For all we know, dear Petey could spill the beans as soon as he walks out the door! Or were the lot of you so caught up in transformation central that it never occurred to you?"
