Right, but that's being made by a whole different company.

There's is the fact that development for WW is presumably far from completion.

Assuming Squad does badly that might provide good incentive to keep the game from being too intrusivly gaas.

Don't be ridiculous. That's Donna Troy's iconic weapon.

Amusingly that concept art of a woman soldier with a gun standing next to Diana is prolly an indication of how the Nemesis system will work here.

Diana will prolly be able to recruit her own Amazon army like Talion did with Orcs.

They changed it over a year later, like, well after the vast majority of players had stopped playing and the shop wasn't bringing money.

And while they removed the shop, its fingerprints and the damage it did to the game is still there. The game's third act is still a giant grind to unlock your final cutscene that basically was made to sell Lootboxes. Only now the boxes are gone, but the grind was left in because it's like... most of the campaign.

Like lets not pretend the change didn't leave a bunch of orphaned design decisions.

Yeah that's the whole problem with live service type stuff. It incentivizes the devs to actively make the rest of the experience worse.

I don't think WB has done enough to earn the benefit of the doubt here. I mean there is a reason that everyone was expecting the game to have gaas forced on it.

As noted Monolith's last game had bullshit in it, but it was still an overall pretty good game

Some new rumors, courtesy of Shpeshal Nick:

Currently runs at 30 FPS, but they want a 60FPS performance mode.

It's visuals are similar to Gotham Knights but probably better.

You defeat mobs, bosses, mini-bosses, and stuff. There are chests and loot drops like boots, braces, and torso gear with stats (similar to God of War).

The invisible jet is used for fast travel.

Jumping, leaping, and fast dashing feel really cool like a good version of Crackdown 😉

The Lariat (The Lasso of Truth) feels good to use and feels similar to Spiderman's webs, you can wrap it around people to slam and even combo them.

Nick is wondering if they will have the truth mechanic...

While the info is pretty basic, I hope that since stuff like this is coming out that means an official announcement like a trailer is in the window.

The invisible jet is perfect for fast travel, it technically gives a reason why you can drop off anywhere in the world without enemies noticing you. I hope that it has a more introspective storytelling like God of War as well

Well, nothing at the game awards. Hopefully, we get something soon in January or February.

Honestly, considering how....Gotham Knights exists, that just makes me more concerned for the game's future, TBH.

At least this game wasn't planned to be a live service game, so that's one less worry.

Honestly this is the most hopeful thing I could've heard given WB's announcement to double down on live service games. I expected Wonder Woman to be a straight up casualty of Suicide Squad bombing hard.
