Reminds me of criticism of the Fox movies where Wolverine looks like a jackass there too.
Cyclops saves him, and Logan responds by insulting his mentor and then him. And then he starts going to Jean "What do you see in that guy?" despite Cyclops not really doing anything worthy of derision.
It's worsened cause Logan has little interaction with Jean in the first movie, but in the second when she comes back suddenly everyone now respects the "deep bond they have" to the point Rogue, Bobby, and Storm leave the room so they can talk even though Storm should Scott's friend and take issue with this.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Jean's status as THE Dude Magnet of the X team is an artifact from when the X-Men first started and she was the only female, so Cyclops, Angel, Beast (to a lesser degree) and even Professor X were all attracted to her (funnily enough, Iceman was the only one who showed no interest at all on her back then, which now is sort of funny fridge brilliance hindsight).
A clip from tomorrow’s episode dropped on Twitter: https://x.com/kylelivings92/status/1772691738408165592?s=46&t=7YT7yMPCw2VMMwQUxWj5_A
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I know nothing about the Goblin Queen, so I have no idea if she can actually do all that or if it's just illusions.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Well, Inferno (1988) did involve actual demons...
Troper Wall — DeviantArtNow there’s a version that can be embedded!
X5 Looking back on it now, it was really common with works that practiced The Smurfette Principle that all the guys would lust after the Smurfette as well — they're the only named woman, which makes them the sexiest thing alive, apparently.

More like the only girl in the house. Which may be a bit much for a bunch of teens in this case.
Wake me up at your own risk.Except for Rogue and Storm.
Might be more of an artefact from the original X-Men comics, where she was the only girl on the team.

Morph is pretty freaked out. Then again, they know this is Sinister.
Where's Magneto....and Rogue...and of course, where's Jean and her clone?
One Strip! One Strip!Logan's treatment of Jean is all the more perplexing when Storm is there and overtly single.
Hense why I ask for more justification.
I'd just leave it as "Logan developed a crush on Jean early on and he sucks at moving on", honestly.
Wake me up at your own risk.X4 Well, yes, that's the post I was referring to. Sorry if that was unclear.
Back to the clip; it's entirely possible demons are involved here; the X-Men have a long history with the Legions of Hell. Maybe because their hayday was also around the time of the Satanic Panic.

The most important question.
Does Cyclops still say “Previously, on X-Men…” a lot?
I like to keep my audience riveted. It would be funny if Mr Sinister either started a scheme with clone of Jean or his scheme is about to be discovered, only for literal Legions of Hell to show up from nowhere.
I found it funny that Logan said "What the Heck?" and Morph responds "This is Hell!".
Truly times have changed since the word Hell would never be used during a early 90s cartoon.
To be fair, Morph is referring to the actual location.
Bringing up the devil's backyard at all would have been hard to imagine years before, too.
Wake me up at your own risk. So, I'd been busy, so I finally dug into this and watched episode 1. And my oh my does it do a job on Cyclops. The classic X-Jet blown of the sky scenario as well and he doesn't need to be rescued.
Seeing them easily but the hurt on Sentinels were practised easy well, wow.
I like what they do with Morph using him to give other characters brief cameos at least in appearance.
Just solid all around.
What time specifically do the new eps usually drop?
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Apparently, at midnight PT: https://www.hindustantimes.com/entertainment/tv/xmen-97-premiere-leaves-fans-nostalgic-heres-when-more-episodes-drop-on-disney-plus-101710940298758.html
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.In one of the timelines (that got erased), Storm and Wolverine are married.
Ep 3 is up:
The Jean that walked into the mansion last ep is the real Jean and the Jean who gave birth to Nathan is Madelyne. Sinister remote-hacks Madelyne, turning her into Goblyn Queen and pretty much enacting the Inferno storyline inside the mansion w/c in this series is a series of souped-up psychic hallucinations . While everyone is being bombarded w/ their worst fears (except for Rogue and Magneto who were on patrol), Beast just got accosted by that giant face in the elevator. They even managed to get Illyana's Darkchilde form to cameo by 1st having Morph turn into Illyana wearing her New Mutant uniform then get mind-controlled by Madelyne complete w/ evil wardrobe change. Jean undoes Sinister's hold on Madelyne in psychic combat by reminding her of Nathan. Nathan gets infected w/ the TO-virus so Bishop brings Nathan to his timeline for treatment. It's never revealed though when the switch happened since they both have the same memories. Madelyne leaves the mansion but she and Jean part ways amicably. Meanwhile, Present Forge approaches Storm offering to cure her.
Sidenotes: It's Jean who says "Previously, on X-Men..." in this ep. Storm has been removed from the intro. Roberto replaces Jubilee in the part of the original opening where he's now the one being chased into a chainlink fence.
Morph cameos: Spiral, his old default face when he was controlled by Sinister, Illyana

Yeah, I'm wondering how Jean got replaced since she never died in this continuity.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.
I think it's fine for Logan to retain his unhealthy character flaw here, because he's a supporting character you have more room for him to be more flawed.
I think they'd have to give some work to justify why Logan is like that towards Jean, because it's a harder character beat to sell in 2024 than it was a generation ago. The original show never laboured to show what is about Jean that makes her standout to Logan like this.
