Eh. I adore Cage and pretty much any adequately-made killer puppet movie, but this one's fun factor felt like it got chopped in half by either budgetary constraints or choreography problems.

I think the film's shoestring budget is pretty evident, yeah, but I still very much enjoyed it. Namely for Cage and his character (which is honestly very unique and could be counted in the hallowed halls of "horror movie heroes" alongside the likes of Ash Williams), the synth soundtrack and the earnest attempt at a aesthetic despite the shoestring budget. I respect it and its batshit ideas.
I think the film's greatest flaw is that they're trying to compensate substance with sytle. For the most part Cage's committed performance and the batshit ideas manage to kepe it floating, but sometimes the substance kind of springs a leak. The internal logistics and tactics of the animatronics in particular are pretty inconsistent and illogicall. The bit of them being possessed by serial killers actually makes it worse because if they were just malfuctioning machines you could handwave the inconsistencies and lack of logic with malfunctionings, but as it is they're just all over the place for no good reason considering they're fully sentient.
Still, The Janitor is such a fascinatingly bizarre character (coupled with the premise and style) I was there for it. I'd like to see other adventures of this weird creature in the world.
At Willy's Wooonderlaaaaaaaaaaand.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."This movie looks dumb as rocks. Captivatingly so. I must have it.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3....I guess I'll take a look at it.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. This was a damn fun flick
The First man
This week the film was released on VOD (and limited theater) and it is incredibly stupid and also incredibly magnificent.
Synopsis: "When his car breaks down, a quiet loner (Nicolas Cage) agrees to clean an abandoned family fun center in exchange for repairs. He soon finds himself waging war against possessed animatronic mascots while trapped inside Willy's Wonderland."
Nic Cage's character is a mute, soda-drinking killing machine that loves pinball.
Everyone has to watch this movie.
