Re Mika's tax situation:

The takes to the replies on Twitter about the situation are insane. Many are aghast, but around 20% essentially boil down to "RECEIPTS PLS SOUNDS SUS" and "Words of ex-talent sounds sus!"

You know, while at this topic, does Nijisanji prevent graduated livers from collabing with terminated livers or what? I see all these ex-Nijis being friendly and collabing with one another, except with Dokibird and Sayu. Like, I understand not wanting to touch Sayu since they barely know her and her circumstances is a landmine for drama, but they've worked with Doki for years. The only one who've collabbed with her is U-san, so maybe it's a time limit thing?

The only agency that's collabed with her is Idol. This makes me think that Niji actually went out of it's way to tell other agencies that they'd blacklist anyone that interacts with her. Holo, VShojo, and even Phase Connect all have reasons that they'd want to keep collabing with Niji on the table. Idol, however, is not in Japan, and canny enough operators to view the bump they'd get from collabing from the current golden child to be worth getting cut off from a dying agency

Further, we do know that Niji talents sign not only non-disclosure agreements, but non-defamation agreements. I wouldn't be surprised if the former livers were told they'd be in violation that if they publicly interacted with Dokibird

...They don't HAVE to talk about Nijisanji. In fact, I'd imagine Doki would prefer not to. Hell, most of them seem to prefer not to. Just existing and collabing with other ex-talent isn't deformation or disclosure.

The idea that Vshojo would heed Nijisanji telling them not to collab with Doki is patently fucking absurd. MAYBE I could see Japanese based agencies like Hololive aquising, but even then, I have my doubts, at least EN.

The fact that Doki hasn't done much of anything with her actual, known friends at these agencies is pretty damn weird, though. Given how much Niji seems to fucking hate her, I can definitely see them sending people threatening letters. And the defamation clause might be legally dubious, but they are perfectly capable of enforcing collab bans

Jumping topics—I asked about Geega's eyepatch offsite and got a variety of answers, but the one that made the most sense was that it's a chuunibyou thing. The Eyepatch of Power entry in her folder is a ZCE, so would it be better to replace that with an entry for chuunibyou since that can also cover the heterochromia, or expand the current entry with something about it fitting the "evil eye" chuuni type?

Going through clips of Pekora's run of Kakarot and it brings warmth to my admittedly on-off Dragon Ball loving heart when you see someone fascinated by DB the first time around.

I do believe Doki not being played with by a really willing Mumei lends cred to “business decision not to associate with the bird for fear of losing association with nijisanji”. It is more than effed that nijisanji are somehow still the biggest vtuber group and have the crappy power to enforce this if its true.

But on the other hand, there's also probably nothing stopping Shachimu from playing with Doki, same as Han Byeol and Xellar. Like, it's totally within the realm of possibility that the two of them just don't see the need to publicly play together.

Guess Shinri got tired of his bow. He's wielding a shotgun in Buckshot Roulette :p

And we already know Shachi has Doki's back considering the former let the latter stay over at her place when Doki was in that rough state of mind. And to watch Twilight.

It might not be permanent either. It could just be a temporary thing until kurosanji is fully distracted by another self-inflicted problem.

It could also just be to avoid harassment by the positively unhinged part of what remains of NijiEN's fanbase - those people are obsessed with Doki and pretty much all the ex-Niji talents are still in the process of healing from the experience of working for that company. Getting dogpiled by a horde of parasocial dipshits because you publicly talked to the person they view as the literal devil is the last thing anybody needs.
