I was looking at Film.Troy and Film.Cool Runnings and have seen other uses of Broad Strokes to be used for history / myths, but surely this trope is about accepting elements of prior series as canon, basically "same story, but different details".
In general, shouldn't Artistic License – History or Sadly Mythtaken be used instead of Broad Strokes for this sort of thing?
Do we need something on Canonical List of Trope Distinctions for this?
