"Most Common Mistakes" page?

Speaking as someone who had zero involvement in the page's creation,^note most of it took place before I was a regular editor I think it looks pretty good and would work in Administrivia.

I am concerned about the changes being discussed at the Trope Launch Pad Improvements & Changes thread outdating the contents of the TLP Errors section before the page is done (namely preventing rouge launches and discards), but that's an eventuality regardless of when this page is finalized and can be addressed when necessary.

I think we should add one more section in Writing and Formatting Mistakes about the Self-Fulfilling Spoiler. I can write a section for it myself if I am allowed to.

Tbh I thought the TLP changes would take me much longer to do. But i’m already on #23 out of 43 total changes in just a few days. All of them will be finished before the end of next week and some of them may even be pushed live before then.

As for this new “common mistakes” page, do I need to create it for you guys? Just wondering since this is a few years old now and sounds like a good idea. We have been discussing other tutorials and pms for new users here in the wishlist as well.

People were talking about writing an administrivia page so that's not something that needs to be coded.

Ah ok cool. Then we should get this page up as soon as possible so we can link to it in our tutorial / welcome pms that I’ll be doing right after the TLP updates.

There should be something regarding Expy/Captain Ersatz/Shout-Out/etc misuse, specifically about how two things that can be loosely correlated by one or two things are not connected because the confused troper wants them to be, and that they need to provide substantive proof that the two things are connected beyond "they are somewhat similar and I noticed the connection". It also wouldn't hurt to explain the subtle distinctions between these kinds of tropes and how to avoid misusing them.

So, the page looks complete, but no one has really done anything to get it added. Is there anywhere I can go to get the page up?
