So, here is a question: Has today’s episode not aired yet? I can’t find it on Hulu.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!No episode this week due to the olympics.
Oh. that explains a lot.
One Strip! One Strip!Ok, so next week then.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!- The battle to destroy the Grim Comet begins
- Everyone in the feudal era is also fighting.
- Miroku is in his old clothes.
- My girl Sango gains a power boost. It combines materials made by Gyokoutu and spirit power by Kin’u. As Kohaku notes she’s still got it.
- Towa uses the Kyoukon. She sends the Grim Comet away, but she collapses.
- Osamu Kirin decides to stop the Comet.
- He also decides to defeat Kirinmaru and all demons
- The girls realize that he may slay their fathers and decide to hurry back.|
- The Grim Comet arrives in the past.
- The girls can’t go back.
Next episode: They go back.
It looks like his real plan is to give Kirinmaru everything he wants without the latter needing to travel to the future.
Like, Kirinmaru wanted to go to the future to destroy the Grim Comet, but now it's there in the past. He wanted to show Rion the world, but Kirn basically gave him a way to do that.
I'm not sure if he really plans to destroy the demons in the past or not. He may have just explained his plan badly. He's a little flakey after all.
One Strip! One Strip!- Osamu Kirin takes Rion.
- Rion destroys the Grim Comet and births the Grim Butterfly. She and Osamu merge into it. Osamu wishes to purge demons.
- The girls return to the past, but Akuru dies from opening the time portal one last time.
- Rion betrays Riku.
- Kirinmaru is pissed with his right arm, but is seemingly manipulated to attack Sesshomaru.
- Sesshomaru awakens and is about to fight Kirinmaru.
Next episode: The O Gs reunite and along with the girls and Riku, challenge Osamu Kirin.
We’re in the endgame now. This is also gonna be the first time Moroha meets Miroku and Sango. Which is something I think should have happened a while ago. Heck I honestly think they should have raised her.

You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!- The girls enter the Grim Butterfly
- Towa vs Osamu
- Setsuna and Moroha vs Rion
- Sango can fly? No, jump good!
- Apparently complimenting Hisui on his training annoys his sisters.
- THE OGS REUNITE!!!
- Sesshomaru vs Kirinmaru
- Kagome and Miroku set up a barrier
- However, the rest is left to the girls.
Next episode: We’re in the endgame now. The girls might save Rion.
- Riku and Osamu die.
- The girls confront Rion and stop the butterfly.
- Sesshomaru beats Kirinmaru.
- Sesshomaru OP please nerf.
- A new demon named Sakasa attacks Rion
- Towa uses Zanseiken.
- Rion fights.
- Towa lies dead. Her spirit asks Rion to inhabit her body to restore her own flesh and blood.
- A new sword forms and revives Towa.
- Family reunion!
- Next episode? Yeah there’s an epilogue.

You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! And so it comes to a close with a whimper, definitely did not hit the highs of Inuyasha nor did it have the emotional sincerity, but it did have some fun stuff.
Yeah, the climax felt weaker than the original, which was several episodes worth of fighting Naraku.
Of course, in that battle Sesshomaru was prevented from instantly using Bakusaiga.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I am surprised that we’re even getting an epilogue episode.
Well, hopefully we can have Moroha at least meet with her parents’ best friends.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Sakasa had appeared before he's just dead. His appearance here was an illusion.
- Kaede’s village is under repairs
- The girls are pressing F to pay respects.
- Moroha is demon slaying with her dad.
- Kagome learns of Moroha’s debt and she instantly wants to repay all of it as she’s a good mother. Which has been repaid anyways.
- Rin made Kimonos for her daughters.
- Kin’u and Gyokoutu Tickle Torture Shippo. Miroku and Sango do absolutely nothing.
- The girls have a Friendship Moment.
- They accept a job from a man named Kai. Kai is really Riku who somehow lived.
- The girls travel to the West to slay demons.
And that’s how the series ends. So Miroku and Sango do not interact with their best friends’ daughter. There’s also no moment of Moroha learning about the “SIT!” gag.
Where are the subtitles?
And so it ends. Definitely didn't capture the atmosphere or gravitas of the original series nor did it do a lot of favors to any of the characters that came before. Moroha was probably the highlight of the new characters although the entire Miroku and Sango family unit felt fairly organic and fun for what little screentime they did get.
Towa and Setsuna ultimately felt fairly white bread and Sesshomaru and Rin themselves do not get more interesting or even have much of a relationship change now that she's his babymama.
Probably would have been more fun if like Shippo, Rin and Kohaku went on an adventure instead for a sequel series
What a waste of time.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Honestly, I’d have favored a series that had the O Gs fighting alongside their kids at first. With the villain cropping up with the kids at their current ages.
This at least gets rid of my two biggest plot issues. (Sesshomaru sealing Inu Yasha and Kagome away and Moroha not interacting with her parents’ best friends.) Plus, I’d definitely have favored not killing Kirinmaru’s minions so early. I’d also have liked Towa and Setsuna to be more comedic. That’s a part of why Moroha and the O Gs are better protagonists. Also it needed better pacing and plotting.
However, I think this series had some nice character interactions and fights, but had big plotting issues.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!So after a year of reflection, how well do you guys feel this series stands on its own? Is it a worthy successor to Inuyasha? Is it not? Does it have much potential to improve as it goes on?

About the Shikon Jewel allowing the time travel thing, that was an invention of the anime as the manga had no such stipulation, further proven when the group lost all their Jewel Shards yet Kagome and Inu Yasha could still Time Travel. The anime initially attempted to explain it away but the explanation made no sense.
