Wasn't sure whether to put this in live-action film or western animation, so I'm putting it in live-action film for now.

Last night, I just learned about this half-hour indie festival film released last year called Circus Sam directed by Rayner Wang. It's mostly live-action, but apparently has an animated segment directed by Don Bluth of all people.

Being a huge Bluth fan, I was excited to hear this. Unfortunately, there's barely anything about the film on the internet. Googling "Circus Sam Rayner Wang" just brings up a short little IMDb page and some award pages. Not even Bluth himself has mentioned this on any of his social media. You'd think the return of a big animation legend like Bluth would be a pretty big deal, and more people would be talking about this, but nope. Does anyone know more about this film?

This is the first I've heard of it. Did Disney have anything to do with this?

With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptation

Not that I know of. Most of the crew consists of upcomers. (Cary Elwes is on the poster, but I didn't see him in the IMDb list.) I think Bluth is the only big name in the film.

I just remembered that last year, Bluth posted this design for an ibis character on his Twitter. Could this have been a concept design for Circus Sam?
