I'd like to propose Training Dummy and Training Boss for a cleanup, merge, and a rename.

Cleanup: Training Boss starts out talking about locations, only suddenly shifting to characters in the second paragraph. Some examples on either trope don't seem right, like the Megaman Sprite Game one. Is either the player or the Yellow Devil incapable of beating the other (the trope's direction is unclear to me), as the trope requires, or did someone just reason training to be a boss = training boss? And neither trope specifies itself as a video game trope, or explains how it might exist outside of video games.

Merge: From the descriptions, the most difference I can infer is "no lose/maybe win" and "yes lose/no win". This doesn't strike me as particularly significant on the whole, more like Type I & Type II variations of the same concept. The fact that especially Training Boss has such a brief (and wonky) description further doesn't convince me these are distinct tropes.

Rename: There are several entries and wicks that understandably misuse Training Dummy as the actual object regardless of use. The real-life section, for instance, is misuse except for the Darwin Award aversion. The Gerudo example from TLOZ: Breath of the Wild also is just that the object exists. the name isn't the only factor towards misuse, but I think one that can't be so easily misinterpreted would do the trope good. My suggestions for a rename are Training Fodder or Training Sponge.

Sorry for the wait, ~Pfff133.

With no evidence to back up your claim, I'm afraid we'll have to decline.
