Just a Face and a Caption: Memento Macguffin

As someone who's never seen sailor moon, I can't tell why this would be a memento.

That, paired with an explanatory caption, would work for me pending other ideas.

That said, I don't really like the replacement. "Memento" means that it's an important keepsake, not that the owner uses it as a makeshift agenda.

(edit) From its webcomic section, last line, first two panels from the bottom left, maybe? The character reactions make it clear that it's a memento.

I like OP. Pocket-watches are common as mementos, especially when they're inscribed. And the inscription here indicates some sort of plot relevance (revealing that something important happened on the listed date).

I can't really tell what's happening in 3. I guess the text is like... loosely implying that the ring might be a Tragic Keepsake?

OP's replacement with inscription seems good.

I feel like the Golden Snitch ("I open at the close") in Harry Potter might be even more recognisable - - but it's probably not worth changing it at this stage when the already proposed one is good enough.
