Double post: The physical releases of the Definitive Edition of the GTA trilogy (excluding the Switch version, as its physical release isn't out yet as of this writing) have been out for some time, and they're extremely barebones, as they only contain the disc and don't include manuals or maps with reversible posters. Normally, this wouldn't be such a problem for a modern release (as very few modern games come with instruction manuals these days), but GTA titles in the past were known for having cool-looking manuals and maps. Even Red Dead Redemption II came with a map, at least!
And it gets worse: the PS5 version doesn't have a physical release, only the PS4 version does, and it doesn't include an option to upgrade to the PS5 version, whereas the physical Xbox release includes both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions.

"And with regards to the GTA trilogy, that was actually not a new title. That was a remaster of preexisting titles. We did have a glitch in the beginning, that glitch was resolved. And the title of has done just great for the company. So we're very excited."
Yeah, they resolved one glitch, but what about the hundreds more glitches and oversights in the so-called "Definitive" Edition? And what was that they said about games not being rushed? Sure, Rockstar has to focus on the "Expanded & Enhanced" version of GTA V now, but they can't leave the Definitive Edition there! They might continue working on it after that version comes out, but still. Take-Two and Rockstar can't expect the fans to fix the problems with mods, only for Take-Two to later take the mods down for supposedly "hurting their economy". This is the equivalent of doing your homework for a school project and giving up halfway through. It's just shameful. The compilation should've never been released in the state that it was in and should've been delayed, maybe to coincide with the launch of the "Expanded & Enhanced" version of GTA V.

They realized that no matter how much money they lost on """""""""""""Definitive""""""""""""" Edition, they can make it back in spades with GTA V.
I agree that they should have released it later. Sure they would have missed the lucrative Christmas release window along with celebrating the 20th anniversary of III, but if it means a better experience then people would be more than happy to wait another year.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.I’d rather have a game that is actually good than a game that is rushed just to appease investors and to not miss the holidays or GTA III’s anniversary.
Shame as I actually was looking forward to this but I’m not gonna buy it after hearing how bad these “definitive editions” are.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I miss the dude from Gay Tony with the golden helicopter.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.x4:
Hey Microsoft! If you're still in the market for game studios, why not consider Take-Two?
I (half-)jest, but the avarice and ignorance on display is so insulting that even I, someone who stays the hell away from GTA but is obsessed with quality control, am appalled.
Seriously, f**k Take-Two.

If you have the greatest moneymaker in the gaming world that is GTAV, then what's the point of making a Definitive Edition? Everyone's answer is to celebrate the 20th anniversary for the sake of celebrating it, without taking consideration into what the fans really expect for a 'Definitive Edition'.
Combined with smacking mods with a banhammer, you get an embarrassing moment in GTA history that leaves Take-Two looking like a washed-up clown on a comedy stand-up stage.
It's quite humiliatingly unfortunate because I played the hell out of the steam version of GTA:SA. At least it's 100x better than the final product, and Steam reviews are not in favour of it.
Crazy stupid in battle. Crazy cupid on a nice date.I had a thought for a parody: what if a GTA criminal dude crossed over into a different genre and his guns and stuff were useless against the enemies. Like Playable Hood 1187 would go to the Mario or Zelda universes and just get his ass handed to him by something as basic as a Goomba.
Rockstar has finally announced work on a new game on Twitter.
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterI said this to my friend: I’ll fully believe it when there is a trailer.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! It's going to have more NF Ts than anything ever and be always online.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Well, if Take-Two takes that concept, and Rockstar pisses on the idea of NF Ts in one of those easter eggs, that would certainly give a mixture of happiness and agony to each and every player.
Crazy stupid in battle. Crazy cupid on a nice date.Well, the Definitive Edition of the GTA trilogy still keeps getting updates, with plans to address various bugs over the coming weeks, starting with the Switch version, which is stated to have improved performance now.
Meanwhile, we're over 2 weeks away from the launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of GTA V, assuming it doesn't get delayed yet again, with typical radio silence from Rockstar. After how the Definitive Edition turned out, I'm expecting that the "Expanded & Enhanced" version of GTA V won't turn out as badly as that. I don't think that singleplayer will get much love in terms of new content (if at all since 2015), and that they'll predictably keep focusing on its Online component, which is set to launch as a standalone game. Let's just hope Rockstar gives us a proper demonstration of the next-gen version of the game they've been releasing for nearly 9 years.

So, the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of GTA V and Online have been out for over a week, and the differences between those versions and the PS4 and Xbox One versions are pretty marginal, compared to the 7th gen vs. 8th gen versions. It does have a few enhancements, like the option to play in 60 FPS (which was previously only available on the PC version) and ray-traced shadows in Fidelity mode and Performance RT mode (which I really wish more games took advantage of on the PS5 and Series X, like Cyberpunk 2077). Though, I feel it really should've been like a free upgrade for existing owners of the game on PS4 and Xbox One. A $10 upgrade sounds decent, but it'll only last until June, and they're gonna jack up the upgrade price after that.
And before you ask, no, they didn't add any single-player content in the new versions...at all. Not even the post-Cayo Perico Heist radio stations made it to single-player, and GTA Online gets all the love, as usual.
If I’m gonna be honest, I have no interest in getting the 9th gen version of GTAV.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Frankly, neither do I. Granted, this remaster's not as bad as the debacle that was the "Definitive Edition" of the GTA Trilogy, but even I feel that this "Expanded & Enhanced" re-release of GTA V was kind of unnecessary.
I can imagine Rockstar will probably milk GTA Online for a few more years before finally moving on to GTA VI proper.
The Definitive Editions pretty much killed my enthusiasm for this series. To the point that my reaction to them announcing VI’s development was “meh”.
The 9th version of V is pointless as you can play the previous version of V on both PS 5 and Series X/S.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! It's worth reminding that the likely reason why GTA VI was announced was merely to drown the #Save Red Dead Online movement. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been announced if it wasn't for that, and we aren't going to hear more news for a long time.
I'm assuming that movement has to do with hackers?
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.No idea. Maybe it has to do with the fact that Rockstar stopped updating Red Dead Online in favor of more GTA Online stuff.
Speaking of which, remember when Bethesda launched the Fallout 1st premium subscription for Fallout 76 and how everyone hated it? Well, Rockstar decided to make their own version of it, titled GTA+, set to launch on March 29 for the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of GTA Online, with no words about the 8th gen or PC versions.
Is this an early April Fools joke? Honestly, I'm not surprised that Rockstar decided to go down this route. It would take a miracle for them to survive this debacle. I legitimately have more excitement for the 2022 Saints Row reboot than I do for GTA VI right now.

The voice of Tommy Vercetti has passed.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Going down the list:
- Avoided putting out a Cops and Robbers mode in GTAO in the summer of 2020.
- Removed transphbic jokes from the current gen re-released of GTAV.
- Narrowed the gender pay gap
- Include the series' first female protagonist in GTAVI
- She's also Latina and part of a Bonnie and Clyde duo in Vice City
- being cautious about making "punching down" jokes about marginalized groups
- One employee described it as transforming a "boys club" into a real company.
- Outside of the pandemic, GTAVI's delays were also caused by improving working conditions, including the restructuring of the design department and pledge to keep overtime under control
- Conversion of contractors to full-time.
- Removal of managers seen as abusive or difficult to work with
- Employees received care packages, PPE, and bonuses at the start of the pandemic.
- Matching donations to Black Lives Matter during the George Floyd protests.
- New policy allowing staff to immediately take leave for every extra hour they work.
- Promises for no extra overtime on GTAVI.
- Morale has been the highest its been.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love.""Extra overtime" feels like a very flexible term. No extra overtime, but regular overtime is possible.
To quote Big Smoke: "Like it says in the book, we are blessed and cursed. Same things make us laugh, make us cry."
