Acolyte apparently going to take place place in the last days of the High Republic, of course, as the High Republic lasted more than two centuries, it is ambiguous that we can qualify as "last days".

It could literally take place in the last year of the High Republic, or in the last 40 years.

Although it is noteworthy that we still do not know if the female character is going to be a Villain Protagonist, as far as we know "The Acolyte" may be a Antagonist Title.

Anyway, a hypothetical first apprentice is just a theory.

Also, "acolyte" doesn't necessarily mean "Sith apprentice".

Wait when was it said that Acolyte would have a female protagonist?

The general reports seem to say "female-centric", which can mean a lot of different things.

And in the old Legends canon he was pretty much a bored rich Patrick Bateman like yuppie.

I demand a Patrick Bateman-style monologue of The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise.

Admittedly, if Sheev needs a backstory affluenza is better than trying to give him anything vaguely sympathetic

Well, according to Legends, Sheev had a choice between a career in politics or just become a daredevil racer.

Pretty sure that there was a fanfiction where Sheev just ran over Darth Plagueis with his speeder because he looked too far into the future and saw his own death at the hands of Darth Vader.

Apparently there was some sympathetic backstory set up, but that didn't get published. Considering it somehow involved an evil girlfriend or something, it's probably for the best.

When it comes to Sidious, it is best if he doesn't have a Freudian excuse, or if he does, be incredibly small or petty.

As petty as that time Roger from American Dad wanted to kill a guy because he took a bagel first.

George Lucas used to be a street racer until he had a dangerous crash that convinced him to quit and go into moviemaking, so perhaps this means we live in a timeline where Lucas didn't become a galactic emperor of darkness.

Kinda, in plaeguis, he found sheev like a quarte in the story and it found out he have being helping his dad rival faction under wraps, he is like evil anakin: he have a lot of conection to the dark side but is unfocus and aparently some other racers have disapear in tragic circunstances.

Is when he finally kill his family in a mini force storm that he finally get what he is and them become plaeguis aprentices.

.....After plaeguis let him strand in his ship with his dead family for weeks in fact.

Given that that crowd has just been growing in persistence since the very beginning of the ST and show no sign of stopping, I'm guessing we'll have to deal with them treating Carano as their martyr for a long, long time.

Sheev has been described as more evil than the devil, since at least he fell. He's so bad that the Son, living embodiment of the Dark Side, has more positive qualities than him

Didn't way too many people in development almost go with Palpatine's ultimate backstory being that a woman broke his heart, leading him to decide to be evil?

Like, it was a project from when Lucas was in charge, but then after Disney took over they almost continued it, despite it being a really stupid idea?

Its like that time Vic Fuck-His-Face got the boot from the dubbing companies and for a while every tweet Funimation did got harassed with Vic-Stan spam.

It did die down eventually but it took a while.
