How many newly launched tropes even get noticed?

Kind of a nitpick about the front page of the website. I appreciate that it shows the "Newest Trope" right there in the middle of the page, but with each new trope launched, the last one is removed. I just launched Indestructibility Montage, and I guess it was nice to be on the front page for half an hour, but now it's up to the crosswicks to help boost it from here. I've seen worse, too. I've seen some tropes launched that got bumped off less than 10 minutes later in the past. Nobody can coordinate exactly when two different tropers are going to launch, and I can't fault them for that.

I still think that to help new tropes grow, a little more attention of their existence should be given. Maybe consider listing the top 5 or top 3 newest tropes instead? Tropers kinda gotta go out of their way to find the new launches page as well. Just a thought.

I'd also prefer that. I try to go out of my way to launch a trope when it'll have the most time to be noticed, but half of the time another trope takes the spotlight within a few hours, meaning my new trope won't get attention and grow.

New tropes in general seem to have this problem, with very few inbound wicks not gotten by crosswicking, rare edits, and a general lack of attention.
