When you put it like that, it's a good thing Hank did go with Scott.
Looks like she'll be a version of Captain Britain.
Her suit looks like a mix of Union Jack and Captain America.

So, with the recent Sony debacle, is it still possible for Spider-Man to appear in the series? I assume the answer is yes, but with some stipulations. Tom Holland probably won't reprise his role (he wasn't listed as one of the returning cast members), and right issues mean they probably can't use his likeliness.
But, will we get any episodes based on the Spider-Man films? Or are those basically kaput now?
Honestly, no one seems to really know anything. Everyone's sticking with different stories as to who left whom and who offered what.
I just want it to stop...
Sony only has the film rights last i heard and this is an animated show.
What if Squirrel Girl kicked Thanos Butt?

She already did that.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Spider-Man wouldn't be affected by the recent Disney/Sony debacle (in fact they recently announced a new Spider-Man show on Disney Junior today, and they're continuing Marvel's Spider-Man) because that concerns movie rights, and Spidey's television rights relapsed to Marvel years ago. (Remember The Spectacular Spider-Man?)
A worst-case scenario (assuming behind the scene stuff doesn't get cleared up) would be Marvel Studios self-imposing a ban on using the MCU Spider-Man, similar to how they barred Fantastic Four and X-Men characters from video games, shows and merch for a while, despite those rights never belong to FOX to being with.
- According to MCU Direct, the Marvel Zombies-inspired episode, featuring Zombie Cap fighting Bucky, made its clip debut yesterday.
- According to DiscussingFilms, there will be one episode per MCU movie for Marvel's What if. I guess this soft-confirms the full season order?

let me clarify: "What if Squirrel Girl was there to kick Thanos Butt during Infinity War?"
The answer would be "Infinity War would be six minutes long, including the credits."
Of course, I'm not sure if that New Warriors show is going anywhere, so we don't know what the MCU's take on Squirrel Girl will be like until it airs, if it ever does.

How about What If Tony Stark was killed in Afghanistan? Without Iron Man, that would lead to LOTS of changes in the MCU.

You know what I find interesting about Marvel Studios' What If?, folks?
It's the first animated series ever that involves Marvel Studios since Wolverine and the X-Men (Feige was EP here). It says right in the opening credits.
"Scooby Dooby Doo!"Low quality images[1]◊ featuring Zombie Cap, T'Challa as Star-Lord, and a non enhanced Steve in a Iron Man suit
Huh, we're getting Marvel Zombies? Neat.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. There's a preview for this show in Disney+ as part of the "expanding the universe" teaser for those that have Disney+ and want to check it out.

So what would have changed if Peggy had gotten the serum? She still becomes a superhero and presumably squares off against the Red Skull.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Steve is also around in his armor suit. Maybe with its flight capability, that means they're both able to board the Red Skull's bomber and then escape before it crashes.

Evidently Steve also becomes Iron Man. Howard's design i'm guessing.
If you go to 4:00, Kevin Fiege mentions season 1 having 10 episodes, and they're working on season 2.
I wonder if they'll do the inevitable "What if Peter Parker wasnt bit by the spider/What if someone else was bit by the spider" story? While it sounds kind of cliche (and I think Marvel even did that in the What If comics themselves), remember that we never actually saw Spider-Man's origin story in the MCU in the first place, meaning without being tied to the details of that story, you could go in different places.
https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/marvel-studio-squeeze-animation-what-if-disney-plus-1203529250/
Squeeze Animation, which is based in Quebec, is handling the animation.
This article mentions that Flying Bark Productions (Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Glitch Techs, Lego Monkie Kid) worked on 3 episodes of the series.
This came out.
It would have gone off without a hitch (since all the problems that came up came from recruiting Scott), but they never would have found out Janet was alive (due to Hope likely not needing to go sub atomic).
