Some Buiding's Roof

   "I'm s-sorry!"   , he apologized, mortified,    "I'll make sure I'll never do that a-again..."

Malachi grimaced, surprised, scared and a bit nauseous as Carmilla resumed her sudden descent, but, after some seconda, he managed to regain his focus and tried to pinpoint someone who was at the mercy of gravity.

"C-Carmilla. I found someone!"   , he pointed at Maggie.

Late, late, late!

The relief of making it into the assembly hall just as Spectrum was making his appearance on stage was easily comparable to finally getting into some air conditioning after his rush to arrive. Being late would hardly be a good sign for a future in heroism, but now he could chalk it up as "right on time", even if he was forced to stand near the back due to a lack of easily available seats.

Bo hardly had a chance to start wondering at what kinds of quirks his fellow students had when he heard the announcement that not everyone here would be accepted. That was a little disappointing, though in a way he'd thought getting in was easier than expected. And then their first problem solving test was presented to them, something to do with a construction site? "...Oh" Was all he said as gravity took over, and then the room entered freefall.

Bo grinned and spread his arms and legs out like a skydiver, for him nothing said "freedom" like the wind buffeting your body. Then he remembered not everyone could fly. Looking around there were actually more winged quirks than he expected, and others were grappling to the half-finished buildings with ice and ink... Those looked like cool powers to have.

Hearing Maggie call out, Bo tucked his arms and legs in and angled himself toward the ground "I've got ya!" he shouted as he passed her, then activated his quirk. His change into a mythical gryphon took only a moment as he evened out and spread his wings to catch the girl on his feathered and furred back.

Esther, Sink or Swim

Esther didn't have much time to chit chat with the other students. It seemed it was time for their first real test. Which was... being thrown out into the sky. Probably the last place she wanted to be right now. She panicked for a moment, wondering how she'd get out of this predicament unscathed.

Thankfully, she remembered that thanks to her quirk, she was never totally away from the ocean that she spent her life in. She created a jet of water from her mouth and began swimming through its current. It looked quite strange, but looking cool was secondary to not hitting the pavement at terminal velocity right now. She continued to "swim" her way down, looking around to see if there was anyone who was in a more dire situation than she was who might need help.

Kyle managed to shake his head at Spectrum, but the Headmistress speech made him sit straight, as he studied reactions and he cracked his neck. In the end, he could only calm if he could move. In the most important moments, he had to push his body to be able to work without worry. That's why he came here looking like he was training for a boxing match.

So, when they suddenly started, he felt ready for everything.

And now, as he was falling to what felt like a certain death, there was only one thing to say.

"WHOO-HOOO" A loud yell ran through the air, as a young, wildly grinning man as he enjoyed the fall, as his torso started growing, and he aimed to grab someone who had problems and to take the brunt of the impact.

If nothing else, he could do some good.

Wake me up at your own risk.

In the air, a lot of things happened at once.

Despite people's efforts to save somebody, a quarter of the group had passed the point of no return, either from pure bad luck or an inability to save themselves. Once they cleared the roof of the tallest concrete skycraper, several white blurs flew out to catch them, things akin to paper airplanes that whisked them over the wall surrounding the site. Of course, those that fell with purpose weren't caught, and each one landed in their own way (Bowling Ball kid windmilled himself all the way to the dirt where he landed with a big cloud of dust, followed by someone who floated down on a cloud of dust, while a seemingly normal girl landed on a bulldozer, denting the roof).

Even those that had made the effort to save somebody weren't always successful. Case in point, the inky tendril that reached for Jay exploded into a shower of ink with a soundnote  similar to a gunshot.

"We don't need help!" Quincy shouted as the two continued to fall. The pair passed Otto and Lucien, floating effortlessly on their umbrella. Otto flashed them a smile, and Quincy responded by sticking his hand out and snapping his fingers. With the same gunshot-like pop, the handle sparked, forcing Otto to let go with a yelp. The pair plummeted, with Quincy grabbing hold of the umbrella, keeping his arm around Jay's the entire time.

Without a safe means to fall, Otto and Lucien sunk like rocks, tumbling through the air. At least until they met another body below them - Claus, to be specific, who had turned his 'eyes' at just the wrong time. Two bodies collided with his mass, dragging him down with them, turning the freefalling duo into a trio.

"Do somethiiiing!" Otto screamed as they all tumbled. Luckily, neither Lucien nor Claus had to do anything; the three where quickly engulfed in a thick, pink-ish slime from above, forceful enough to hasten their fall.

Lucy's other target for saving, Oscar, was similarly taken away, the wide-armed kid on his chair-glider managing to swoop beneath him and catch him in a great big hug. Of course, the added weight was a bit too much, and the kid was losing balance, sending him, Oscar, and his little glider careening towards, ironically, the very building Lucy was depositing her catches.

Though in lieu of Oscar, Lucy's tendril did grab somebody. Or rather, somebody grabbed it. Marie, or Karri, snagged the tendril just as it fell past them, letting it cocoon themselves and Markus up and bring them to safety.

Rick's little trick with the green energy didn't last long as the knobbly boy grabbed hold of the back of his shirt, pulling him down slowly, but surely. "Jeez, man, you couldn't think to tell one of us?" Before Rick could reply, something slammed into him, jolting his concentration and sending them darting off with nothing to keep them floating.

"Oh woooow! I can't believe it, you have my Quirk! Wow, that's crazy! Are we siblings?" The thing that fell atop Rick was none other than the girl he'd taken the Quirk from, her eyes wide and bright, despite the fact that she had sent the three of them falling. It seemed to finally dawn on her though, with a sudden 'oh! right!' before she extracted another bright green light from her temple, using it much like before to slow themselves down.

Being the slowest to fall, Eileen had ample time to watch her comrades scramble in their attempts to save themselves and/or everyone else. She wasn't alone, though. As soon as she touched her tank top, the guy that was sitting next to her leaped from his seat to hers, clinging to her wrists and dangling at her back. "Thanks for the ride."

Quarry (Claus, Lucien, Jay, et al)

Instead of the ground, the three goopess fell straight down a piece of piping, bouncing around in their gooey trappings, until they were spat out into a wide quarry, where they promptly fell an extra 10 feet before splatting on the rock below. Well, the goo splatted. Lucien, Claus, and Otto were more-or-less fine, the whatever that was now a puddle beneath them having broke their fall. The umbrella thieves, Quincy and Jay, descended into the Quarry soon after.

Otto was quick to peel himself from the goop, taking his sunglasses off in a hurry and looking them over. "Oh, god, phew, yeesh. That was almost, super bad there."

Jay touched down first, their feet squelching into the pink goo, before Quincy landed right beside them. Quincy turned them just enough to see face-to-face, and signed a message with an edge of frustration. "Don't make a habit of getting rescued."

Skyscraper (Lucy, Oscar, Markus, et al)

Of the people Lucy managed to save, one girl with stark white hair, bangs cut into thick triangles, sat up once her cocoon receded. At first it looked like she didn't have a mouth, until the side of her face split open to reveal, well, a mouth. "I wish you kept me in that thing longer. It was super cool, falling in pitch black like that."

It was then that the metallic glider crashed through the empty windows of the skyscraper, managing only to smash the concrete wall and shower everyone with bits of stone. The thing bounced further into the building while its "rider" tumbled off, keeping Oscar close to his chest. Once the crashing and smashing were over, the boy slowly opened his arms to let Oscar roll free.

"Uhm...are you okay?"

Quarry

In the instant that Quincy and Jay appeared next to them, Lucien suddenly felt himself falling very quickly as Otto let go of the umbrella as the sound of a gunshot cracked through the air.

"What the-AAAAAH!"

They then collided with...something right beneath them, the ragtag all if three rumbling through the air as Otto called out for them to do something.

"I caaaaaan't!"

His mind was all aflutter, unable to concentrate to even use his Quirk to suggest someone come to their aid, their freefall only miraculously cushioned by pink slime out of nowhere to encase them. The piping flanked and jangled as they ricocheted off of it, ears ringing when they finally came to a stop. Staggered footsteps marked Lucien's ascent to his feet, clutching his head with one hand.

"G-Guh, close...but still worse for wear..."

The world swam in his eyes, the quarry a lightening and darkening mess in the empath's disorientation. Of course, when the umbrella thieves descended, Lucien closed his eyes, focusing on them.

Remember how everyone felt when they were falling...

He felt the paralyzing fear of all those that had been suddenly dropped through the floor, phantomly feeling flooding through him in recent recollection. He willed it onto Quincy and Jay, hoping that just as he had been paralyzed with fear, they would be too. He had some choice words.

The Skyscraper

Lucy's face initially fell as she realised her ink had missed one of her targets, only to brighten again as they were caught anyway. Then her face fell again once she again missed with another tendril, but this time someone else caught it instead and let themselves get wrapped up. This constant, rapid switch between disappointment and jubilation continued the entire way up until the point her face hurt and they were all safely with her on the building.

“You... l-liked being in there...?” Lucy blinked owlishly at the white-haired girl's words, looking more confused over disapproving as she seemed to flush a little and shuffle awkwardly in place. “W-well... o-okay, I guess... that's... th-that's good to know...?”

...Yeah, okay. These people are weird.

The irony of this conclusion didn't escape her, and she cast a brief sad look over her grey, rail thin form before untying the hoodie from around her waist and slipping it back over her shoulders. With a mental command as she zipped it up to her neck, the ink left in the field jolted and began to stream back to her—weaving its way up to the building and absorbing itself into the fabric of her jacket (naturally staining it into an oily black as a result).

With that done, and a little relieved over her newly disguised appearance, she began to discreetly investigate the wellbeing of the others; casting careful looks to scan for any injuries and removing any vestigial amounts of ink off of their person if and when she spotted it. Avoiding eye contact the entire time, of course. Until she reached Oscar and his saviour, to which she pursed her lips and met the gaze of the boy with the glider.

“...That was reckless, but... you still saved him. Could you... um...” she faltered, wringing her hands as she all of a sudden lost her composure and dropped her eyes back down to her feet. -“C-Could you maybe... uh, w-warn me– uh, us next time?”

Evidently the girl had no clue how to handle any kind of confrontation—even one issued from herself. She seemed to be uncertain as to how to explain what she wanted. Or at least, without coming across as offensive.

In any case, she was failing miserably. And she knew it.

Falling into a Quarrelsome Quarry

He had no doubt that failure would not equal death. That would be absurdly illegal, after all. But he still didn't want to fail this test if he could help it. If he could only get kicked out by not trying, that didn't prove anything. All it proved was that he was a problem. The only suitable solution was to try his best and still inevitably fail.

And, as he had somewhat expected, something came along to ruin his careful descent. They didn't impact him, that would have been far better than what actually happened. Several patches of skin on his stomach and arms suddenly started bruising badly, the hitboxes for the area beneath the skin being impacted directly. With his focus lost, his carefully made human staircase got out of order and he began to fall...

He hated heights.

Claus almost tried to stop his descent again, but he knew it was too late. At this speed, stopping himself with his body would probably make him lose a limb from the whiplash. While his two problems screamed for help, the teen simply muttered under his breath "Well, I tried my best," in an almost relieved tone of voice. He could have passed, but since it wasn't his own fault no one would blame him for the failure. This would be fine. Shame about the other two hopeful heroes, though, they seemed pretty invested in this.

And then he got slimed. It was gross, it was sticky, and if it wasn't for his fear of heights he'd just let it phase through him so he could fail. Fear overtook reason sometimes. When they impacted the ground and bounced, and bounced, and goshdarn bounced, he wanted to throw up so badly. Finally, though, his fall from hell was over. At least his clothes were alright, he didn't want that stuff all over him.

Looking up, he tried searching for whoever had to ruin his chances of failing like that. "I never asked for this!" he yelled up at the sky, voice hoarse. He started coughing up phlegm, trying to clear it. Claus began to pace around nervously, trying to avoid making eye contact with the other people who had fallen onto him. There was no way he'd try forming a connection with the people who had caused that calamitous fall to befall him.

Rooftop

When his offering hand was rejected by fair Carmilla, Cassius quietly nodded and looked down, using his dragon wings to maneuver himself towards the person falling closest to them (it did help that Malachi was loudly pointing in the direction of said people). His eyes locked onto said person- a a short-ish boy with big eyes and black spider legs on his back- and so Cassius launched himself towards them (with an accompanying ping of rage signified by him clenching his fists).

There was no bridal carry in this rescue attempt. All Cassius would do is approach him, match his velocity and bellow a fair warning. "Control yourself and grab onto my hand- lest my rescue ends up harming you!" Holding out his hand, the suit's jacket still precisely wrapped around the same arm, he waited for the short-ish boy to grab him before extending his grip to the boy's arm. With a flap of his wings, he adjusted their speed so that they'd stop falling— without tearing the boy's arm in the process, of course.

(And the boy might have felt Cassius' fingers digging slightly into his own skin- but only for a moment, a brief yet noticeable moment.)

Carrying the boy with the same passive attention he was carrying his own briefcase, Cassius flew towards the same rooftop that Carmilla and Malachi were headed towards, landing there with an almost dainty-like softness (again, ensuring the same gentle touch was extended to the boy he had saved). Once the two of them were on solid ground, he tapped the boy's arm, let go of it, and set down his briefcase besides him.

"Before I ask you if you are safe and healthy," He asked as he unwrapped his jacket from his arm, smoothing out its wrinkles and taking deep breaths. At the same time, his body began morphing back into its usual form- his wild black hair locks shrinking back to their original shape, the horns retracting into his forehead, the yellow being 'sucked out' of his eyes, and the wings wilting like dead flowers and slipping back into the two slits in his vest. "Name and pronoun please."

Quarrel In The Quarry

Distracted as they were by the exploding tendril of ink, Jay didn't manage to pick up on Quincy's petulant words as he brought them close and... well, it was difficult to grasp the specifics with everything that was happening, especially since Jay couldn't hear the explosions that were pivotal to the whole mess, but in just a few seconds the duo were no longer falling thanks to the aid of an acquired umbrella.

There was no time to marvel over how powerful the dainty little thing was, however- below them, a trio of kids were rocketing towards the ground! They were falling too quickly to reach out and grab, so instead Jay turned their eyes up to the umbrella, awkwardly trying to clamber around Quincy's grasp on it to see if they could find some kind of clasp... something to snap it shut, just long enough to accelerate them down to where the other bodies were tumbling...

No dice, though. Their feet hit ground- more specifically, the weird pink substance that had pooled over it. Jay instinctively hopped away from the goop, shaking it off their soles while they scanned around frantically for any sign of the trio. Their face broke into a wide grin as they saw the boys emerge from the goopy mess, but a holler of celebration was cut short by Quincy signing in their face.

Now, a regular person might get miffed at being signed to like that, and justifiably so. Jay, however, simply smiled sheepishly and replied with their own swift hands. "Haha, sorry! My Quirk doesn't really help with falling from places- or a lot of physical things, really, unless it's dealing with other people! Then it's really good! But hey, speaking of, what's that umbrella about? Did you makethat?Isthatthethingthatyoudo-"

Something strange seemed to be happening to Jay, for a reason that only Lucien would know; while he was successful in getting the fear to seep into their system, it didn't immobilize them like he had hoped. Rather, the opposite was achieved, with Jay's hands speeding up to the point that even Quincy would have trouble parsing what they were trying to say. "Phew,thatwasscarythough!Firsttheblackthingandth-" Their hands suddenly froze mid-sign, their wide eyes darting around to where the trio had stumbled out of the goop.

"Thoseguys!" Jay waggled a finger at them, then continued signing to Quincy with rapid fervor. "Didwebumpintothoseguys!?Weshouldapologise!"

Free- Wait, where are we?

"Whoa whoa whoa. The same Quirks? I have a copying Quirk..."

And that's when it came to him- or rather, it didn't.

He had teleported from point A, cozy, asleep in his bed, Pjs, and soothing lo-fi, to point B, FALLING FROM A LARGE FUCKING HEIGHT IN HIS SCHOOL CLOTHES! Oh, and no Lo-Fi.

"Uh, your Quirk wouldn't happen to screw with memories, would it? Because I have no idea how I got here. Or who you are."

Rick tried to sugarcoat his current situation, but he didn't have much success...

The Quarry

Quincy tried to keep up with Jay's rapid signing, but not only did they never stop long enough to sign back, their speed was just too much for him. Giving up on that, Quincy turned to Lucien with an odd half-smirk, half-scowl. Instead of the paralyzing fear of a sudden drop like Lucien hoped for, the only thing Quincy felt was a rush of adrenaline, the anticipation of a thrilling fall.

"What, upset that I got one over on you? This is a test. I'm not going to be one of the ones they cut off, and I'm not letting this guy here—" Quincy tapped Jay on the chest, "fail neither!" His pulse quickened as he got more and more agitated. He stuck out a finger in the common 'handgun' gesture, aimed directly at Lucien feet. Another gunshot rang out, a muzzle flash popping from the tip of Quincy's finger, and a splotch of goo splash up, a bullet hole cracked into the rock beneath it.

"Dance, tough guy!"

As Quincy prepared to pop off another shot, the quarry filled with a loud, wet sucking sound. The pink goo surrounding everyone started to move, sliding along the ground, pulling itself free from under their shoes, gathering together at a spot right beneath the pipe it had fallen through. The gooey mass shifted and morphed, shoving itself inside of a pair of clothes that had been buried under itself, until the goo took on a humanoid shape. Details emerged - fingers splitting off, the head forming a more distinctive shape with cheeks, a shallow nose, the outline of hair bulging outwards - until finally to small, black ovals popped into view. The goo-person blinked a couple of times, then stood, making its way to everyone else. It paused to bend over, picked some device off the ground (a tiny speaking no bigger than a ring box), before straightening itself up and offered what could only be a mouthless smile.

"Hey!" A slight tinny voice reverberated out of him as he waved. "I'm Jamie!"

Building Rooftop

The short-ish boy looked incredibly grateful, watching Cassius with a sense of awe. "Oh! Yes, sir!" He lifted himself up to match Cassius' height on his spiderlegs and beamed proudly. "Issac Theridan, at your service! He and him, if you'd please." When he finished, he lowered himself down onto his human feet. "You, you really know how to handle yourself. Everyone was falling and you were... not falling. Very well, I might add!"

In the Sky, En Route to Its Scraper

"Oh?" The girl tilted her head as they descended, veering the three towards the tallest building. "Oh, yeah! My Quirk is pretty weird like that. It uses memories as energy, and whatever you use is just gone. You have a copying kind of Quirk? Well, since you aren't used to it, you probably used too big a chunk of memory. But don't worry; the synapses are still there! We just need to jolt them back to working! Let's see... Before we were here, we were higher up. Before that, we were in the assembly hall, where Spectrum and the two Altelié people were talking. Before thaaaat..."

"You pushed me over in the crowd!!" The spiky-haired kid was still clinging to Rick's shirt, not looking too happy at how he was essentially hijacked. His outburst did manage to bring the memory back into Rick's head, and as he remembered, the rest of the gaps quickly filled themselves in, until he had the morning back completely.

Quarry

So... if he was getting this right the ones who fell on him weren't responsible for their fall. It was the two who landed gracefully that had hijacked their method. Claus wasn't entirely sure how to feel about that. He couldn't argue with the kid's logic, though. "He's right, you know," Claus finally said, directly addressing someone else for the first time since entering the building today. "If you fail you don't deserve to be here. If someone else trying their best is enough to make you fail, you don't deserve to be here." Somehow, he had still managed to land safely. But that was OK, he wasn't stuck in this academy just yet!

"Seriously, it's way too idealistic to-" he tried to continue, halting his words when the guy he had been agreeing with started shooting at another potential student's feet. He rapidly backpedaled away from them, muttering something under his breath about how hero schools clearly attracted psychopaths more than anyone else and that there was no way he'd let himself share a classroom with someone like that. Just in case the crazy teen tried turning his finger gun on him, Claus separated his body into a bunch of scattered parts in the air. Heart was moved behind the hitboxes for several tough bones.

His panicking was stopped at the sight of the goo reconstituting itself into a different shape. Having a quirk that altered his own form significantly at times, the teen's immediate conclusion was that he had been dealing with a person made of slime. That made him feel... very unclean. At least he hadn't gotten any in his mouth like he had with the strange ink from earlier. "I... I didn't want your help!" was all he exclaimed to this Jamie after they spoke, trying to voice the feelings they had yelled at the sky earlier in a slightly less aggressive way now that the moment had passed.

He would try to just walk away and make some distance from this motley crew, though he wasn't moving particularly fast. Anyone could easily walk with him if they so wished.

Bo grunted as the crystal girl landed and paused for a moment to give her a chance to get a grip while he looked around before turning and gently gliding to a rooftop where it seemed one or two of the other winged heroes had landed.

Once Maggie had a chance to get off he deactivated his quirk, quickly shrinking back to a young looking boy in a rather casual tee shirt and shorts. "Guess I lucked out for that test, huh?" He said with a chuckle glancing to everyone present "Everyone okay?"

Quarry

Lucien scowled as Quincy showed absolutely no remorse for what he had done, potentially risking the lives of so many people as they had fallen, like Claus.

"That's not what Heroes do! They're supposed to save people, not themselves!"

A crimson font of anger bubbled and gushed inside him, and when Quincy leveled his finger gun at Lucien's feet, he stood firm.

He just wants to scare me. The sadistic type.

As the gunshot rang out again, Lucien jumped. Not at the gunshot mind, but at the slime splashing upwards. Although, he soon realized why he shouldn't have been, as he was made aware that he'd overlooked one source of emotion around them. Quincy was aiming for another shot, only for the slime to reform into a person , who introduced themselves as Jamie. The source of the mystery emotion he overlooked. Lucien's eyes snapped to Quincy's raised index finger, and then to his own. He trembled.

I...I don't like doing that...but should I? He's a complete psychopath. It's just the index fingers I guess...

Teeth clenched, he shook his head. He was not just going to do that for some sadistic bully. If things got worse, he might.

"N-No..."

He stopped his reverse empathy on both of them. Jay was pretty much innocent, or at least he hadn't fired the shot and it didn't seem to be working anyways. He nodded at Jamie with a small smile. He made sure to let his gratitude radiate outwards towards their impromptu saviour.

"Thanks for the save. Good to see someone who cares. I mean, considering who's standing right over there."

Okay, won't be on Discord until tomorrow evening and I don't know where Lee's supposed to end up, so I guess I'll leave that up to Truth.

...Well, this wasn't the best of introductions, considering he'd been somewhat snubbed for a handshake. But that was fair, the speech was probably more important that Kyle simply hadn't noticed.

It took a few moments longer for the youth to notice that the test had begun...and flailed his arms in a somewhat childish manner as if desperately attempting to fly. No such luck. At least that mental voice trying to help him keep calm stopped him from being even more childish and thinking it'd be fun like that skydiving thing. This wasn't something he was expecting...and his powers wouldn't be of any use in helping anyone with their current predicament. Or himself for that matter.

"B-Blast it all..." ...No, that's something he would've said. Blast is more British than...wait...

Then it clicked. He was practically generating kinetic energy simply from falling at this velocity. If he could use a few blasts to cancel out his momentum, he'd at least land at a more reasonable speed...even if it would likely cause a bit of recoil. But considering the armlet was rapidly approaching the safety limit, he didn't have much of a choice.

Moving his hands up to pull the gloves off with his teeth, Lee moved his hands towards the ground before creating a short range blast, causing in to spin in the air a little, slowing down slightly but not quite helping his predicament.

Once more!

A second blast managed to put a stop to that and slow his momentum for a few moments, not too far away from the ground as the shock caused him to do a quick flip and manage to land on his feet and mostly harmlessly.

Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.

Skyscraped My Knee

Oscar prided himself on seeing the world move a little slower than it did. With all the martial arts training he had gone through over the years, reading body language, at least in a combat situation, was something he could do quickly and effectively.

And yet, the fall through the sky felt like an impossibly fast flurry of events. There was a tendril of darkness that narrowly missed him. Then someone grabbed him midfall. And now... Now he was covered in concrete dust and looking up at his 'saviour'.

"There are events I have survived that have been worse than this..." Oscar said, slowly getting to his feet. "But the assistance you have provided is still appreciated." He thrust a hand forward. "I am the one known as Oscar Jama. My Quirk is that of converting any object I swallow into a nutritional slurry."

Oscar rifled through the inner pockets of his gi before producing a small handful of steel nuts, downing them and swallowing. Bland... much like attempting to eat a loaf of white bread with no toppings or spreads...

Descend Downstairs, Quarry

(Un)fortunately, someone else took care of the Maggie Malachi pointed out for her. With that out of the way, there was nothing else for them but to land. A few other people were managing to fall on their own terms, at the very least. The two of them landed near the situation with Lucien and Quincy. Carmilla's face scrunched up in a frown even as she set Malachi down. Briefly looking towards the goo guy, she set her eyes upon Quincy - who was clearly throwing his weight around.

"Now what seems to be happening here, I wonder?" She spoke as her wings retracted and she stretched. "Surely no one would be so pants-on-head moronic as to out themselves as a spiteful bully, hm?" Carmilla's red eyes flashed like rubies as she stared down Quincy. To use the power of dominance she loathed, but it seemed there was a need to discipline an unruly brute.

And so, should his mind prove weak enough, the compulsion would be to lower his finger guns and not raise them against fellow would-be students.

Rooftop (Maggie)

Maggie was surprised when she managed to be grabbed but, was thankful for it. She had held on till they made it to the rooftop. When they made it, she stumbles off.

"Hey, thank you so very much. I didn't know what to do given my quirk isn't suited to a situation like that." She extends her hand out for a handshake.

"My name's Maggie, it's short for Margaret." She says to Bo, giving a smile.

Skyscraper

Momo shakes her head to mentally right herself. "Ugh...so...now what. We didn't get scooped up so...we pass? Shiranai."

She shrugs and walks over to the others that landed with her. "Oi, you guys alright?"

"Yeah, no problem. I'm Boris, though I usually go by Bo" He grins and shakes Maggie's hand , glancing at the crystal on her arm as he does "I bet your quirk's a lot more useful on land though. What do you do?"

Quarry

Oh, that gryphon boy managed to catch that girl.

...Not that it isn't a good thing anyway...

After he and Carmilla settled in the Quarry, they started going downstairs a bit. In this new place, Malachi shot a look at Jamie before staring intensely at the current situation.

"Wha-What— What are you doing?!"   , Malachi exclaimed at Quincy, shocked,    "There's n-no reason to be this v-violent, isn't there?"   , his eyes were set on the finger gun boy with in.

"Hmmmmm...I like this guy!"   , Bael commented with interest-

"N-N-Now's not the time, B-Bael!"   , Malachi retorted, sounding worried about the current circumstance,    "...Hopefully this squabble will get resolved q-quickly...with no casualties at all...wait, WH-WHY WOULD I THINK THERE WOULD BE CASUALTIES IN THIS...n-normal...quarrel......?"

You might know everything I'm going to do...but that's not going to help you, since I KNOW EVERYTHING YOU'RE GOING TO DO! STRANGE, ISN'T IT?

If Markus hated people hijacking his horse half, feeling a psychic fucking with him in turn made it even worse. He wished he was allowed to bring literally any of his guns, but it looked like the Californians thought themselves better. No matter, Markus had his trusty ole lasso still! Ideally also some solid rope to string up whatever fool thought forcibly calming people would work too.

This he'd handled before though, falling was a simple mechanical transfer trick... except for the girls on his back.

"Rope!" Was all he said, handing one end back to them, before he started tying a quick knot on the other end mid-fall. He started spinning up the lasso, and found his target: a radio tower, coming out of the top of a skyscraper. He hurled the loop forward, got it around one of the dishes, and pulled the rope tight so it looped around the dish's stem and not the dish itself. "Pull! Pull hard!"

Markus couldn't fully hold up his own weight, not very long at least, so as he grabbed the rope he prayed his arms wouldn't pop. The fall turned into a swing, the momentum went horizontal, and Markus swung around to land on the same floor of the skyscraper as most other students, winded and shaking still. He let the rope drop from his hands and stamped his feet a few times. "Huh." Was all he could say for now, slumping forward. "That was..." He stretched his arms. "Ouch. Anyone got an ice pack? Think I pulled something."

The Skyscraper

“I-I think we're all okay. Mostly,” Lucy responded quietly to Momo's query, seeming to jump a fraction in surprise as a giant horse (wait, centaur now that she looked at it) crashed into view to join them. Something she immediately found herself wincing at, as if there was one thing she knew was that injuries on a horse tended to be very bad for them. Though thankfully this one had the benefit of having a human half, so maybe he'd be alright...

“I um... I don't think I brought anything with me...” she said honestly, moving to rifle through her bag for a moment before seeming to have an epiphany. “Hey, um... y-you're the one who used ice before, right?” she stammered, turning towards the Japanese girl with a somewhat tentative smile. “D-Do you think that maybe... maybe you could help him out...? I'd do it if I could, but... I don't think ink would help too much...”

Is that everyone accounted for? I didn't see too many coming this way while I was falling... they must've landed somewhere else. God, I hoped that was what we were supposed to do... she inwardly thought, biting the inside of her cheek anxiously as she looked longingly over towards the edge of the skyscraper. ...I mean, they sent us down here in the first place without any warning... it could've killed someone... so maybe the solution was different...

She sighed through her nose, not even realising she was shivering as she continued to worry over this.

Maybe this was a bad idea...
