You know what I think is scary? Everybody in Team Iron Man back in Civil War ends up getting screwed over, with exception of Black Panther.

Tony Stark, Black Widow, Vision - Dies.

War Machine - crippled

And now, Spiderman didn't quite suffer any injury, getting Snapped and returning from it notwithstanding, but his reputation is completely tarnished by the end of Homecoming.

Clearly, Team Cap is the ultimate winner!

It’s like in the comics where post Civil War writers delighted in punishing Tony and also Tigra

Possibly others but I only know about those two

Hank Pym has bad things happen to him too but it’s hard to differentiate that from how he’s normally treated

Steve: gets to go back in time and live out his retirement with Peggy.

Bucky: gets to resume his retirement in Wakanda.

Sam: gets Steve's shield and inherits the title of Captain America.

Wanda: got to dish out some pain against Thanos, and while Vision is still gone daddy gone by the look of it the worst is technically behind her now.

Clint and Scott: get to go back and spend time with their families and loved ones.

Fair enough.

Black Panther ended up thrown off a waterfall and was made mostly dead and had his important herbs burned

He got back up and kept going but so has Rhodey

Oh, and while Black Panther is physically all right, no doubt he has a lot of administrative and bureaucratic mess to clear up in Wakanda.

The rivalry between Peter and Davis can be considered a case of bait and Switch Underdog.

At first it seems that Peter is the underdog, because Davis is described as very popular with women.

But the more the movie progresses, it becomes obvious that Davis is the true Underdog.

That's a good take, I like that.

Dang, going to New Asgard and seeing King Valkyrie would have been awesome. I guess you could have had that rather than the Netherlands, but it would have to have been one Heck of a long train journey Peter passed out at.

Otherwise it wouldn't make sense as Mysterio is purposefully avoiding locations where other superheroes can interfere.

With Talos pointing out that "everyone is asking where the Avengers are" in the Stinger, it's also possible most heroes are with Fury also, and Mysterio just in part really lucked out.

There's actually a nice touch with that during the London bits. Mysterio plays up the threat and asks for backup to make sure that none of the Avengers are going to be available before he really starts the show.

—Spiderman: I'm going to look at the good side, now that the avengers are in space, that means that I am now the most powerful hero on earth, just below Strange..

(After thinking a while.)

—Spiderman: This is bad, I will not have almost support if I have to face someone strong.

Galactus: Nice planet you got there.

The Avengers get home and the whole planet is on fire.

Surely with Tony dead there's no one to give supervillains oragins.

Moreover, the Avengers aren't the only superheroes on the planet.

Like its not clear who is on the Avengers roster at this point in time, but I imagine T'Challa and Strange as well as their supporting casts are still doing their nine to fives.

Not to mention there's the agents of SHIELD, The Defenders, Cloak and Dagger, The Runaways and Ghost Rider knocking about.

Don't worry. I'm sure Tony has few more grudge holders in reserve.

I mean, Tony has already proved you don't need to be alive to still have someone use you as their excuse for villainy.

Damn it Tony, it should be Hank Pym's job serve as backstories for supervillains now.

I wouldn't even blame anybody for being pissed off enough at grouchy Old Man Hank to become a supervillain.

So far only two people.

And how responsible Hank is for Ghost is ambiguous even now.

So the rest of the Mysterio gang got away scott free huh? I wonder if they'll eventually form AIM.

Or reform it if we consider Iron Man 3.

Though I suppose they could just connect with whoever is left of that group.

I still don't buy that Beck is dead.

Remember EDITH only said "all illusions are off" and not whether Beck was still alive or not. We never saw Peter check his pulse either. He could be playing dead for all we know. And if SHIELD had collected his body, it would have been mentioned afterward.

If he isn’t dead then it was a masterful illusion pulled on the audience including him acting like he was having a villainous breakdown and having the drones fire when he was at an unsafe distance making it seem like he hoisted himself on his own petard

And he WAS fairly spry for a gut shot guy when he pulled the gun

The breakdown may have been partly real. The best lies are ones with a hint of truth to them after all. And Spidey was truly ruining his plans.

Plus, he was fully aware that if Pete got within striking distance of him he was fucked.

I can picture him being genuinely freaked out at that along with the other points.

But yeah, Beck being dead is still up in the air right now...

...holy shit...

What if Jameson....isn't even Jameson? What if he's Beck?

And rid us of J.K. Simmons? I should hope not!

Speaking of Jameson, how long do you guys think it took Marvel Studios to decide on bringing back J.K. Simmons as our favorite Spider-hating curmudgeon?

It's simmons playing beck playing Jonah.

I mean, there was a time in the comic where chameleon took Jameson's place and went far harder on the anti Spiderman crusades. Nobody (not even Peter, who's Spider-Sense was warning him the whole time but he just thought Jameson had finally just gone whole hog on his hatred of Spidey) noticed.

If you don't know Jonah really well, you'd never really guess. Peter doesn't know him at all here, so how would he know?
