I'm more of a pro-Dimitri, and therefore, a pro-Rhea by proxy.

I still find it funny that Dimitri's route which should be at least 2nd most favorable to her is quitting her job to Byleth and retiring entirely off-camera.

I wonder how first time AM people reacted to that.

I like how Rhea just plain doesn't even show up in Azure Moon's second part. They make as big a deal of her as with Verdant Wind and Silver Snow, then the game promptly forgets about her, tiny Epilogue blurb aside. I'm not sure if that or Crimson Flower inexplicably hand-waving the Slithers' defeat is funnier.

I don't really like Rhea. Her resume as shown by the game is basically questionable crap the whole way down. That doesn't put me on Edelgard's side, either, since Edelgard just makes similar mistakes with different motivations. I like Dimitri's development, but its kind of soured by Azure Moon's mood and decisions being all over the place. I almost like his Crimson Flower version more (added bonus: being able to off Rodrigue's and Gilbert's dumb asses myself). I guess that leaves me as a Claude supporter, though his quest for truth also meanders and there randomly runs into Nemesis for no explained reason. Which I guess brings me to one of my Cindered Shadow predictions that I'm semi-disappointed didn't turn out: that the Slithers would run off with the Chalice and that would be their explanation for why Nemesis randomly turns up.

Crest of Flames gives you a Free Extra!Life. That's it. That's the explanation. Such is Sothis nature.

So I’m not the only one who thought the Chalice would have explained why Nemesis is alive?

That’s sort of comforting.

Then what about the other Elites?

The Chalice would have brought him back as a monster, even if he was in control of said monster ala Edelgard/CF Rhea.

Also Nemesis power. He's a Keystone Army as the ending shows, and said Elites are empty husks under his control.

Probably because AM already had enough chapters and ended on a good point. There wasn't really a need for Hubert to tell them about the Dubstep Mole People since tall of their leaders were dead by he end of the game.

By the way, what character alignment do the various Dimitri's fall under?

• Pre-Timeskip
• CF
• VW/SS/First Half of AM
• Second Half of AM

I'm thinking Lawful Good for Pre-timeskip and second Half of AM, Lawful Neutral for CF, Chaotic Neutral or Chaotic Evil for VW/SS/First half of AM.

Let's be fair Dimitri probably stumbled across a Slither plot that lead him to Shmabhalla by chance.

Just as he destroyed their top brass without ever realizing it.

I'd say...Dark-Law on SS/VW/Initial AM, Neutral-Law on CF, and Light-Law on White Clouds and The rest of AM.

I guess part of me was hoping Seiros would echo 2019’s best villain in a sense.

Since the Fame Emperor's ordeal was "get people to think it's your lord", maybe thy should have made FE's voice Tara, Chris, and Joe all talking at the same time.

Rhea does say in her little Ask Abby notes that she wants to relate with the students better. Some inconspicuous trolling is just her way of acting out on that desire.

I kinda want to do my alignment chart on everyone when I'm not busy, so look forward to that.

Claude and Linhardt desperately need a Support where they work together to figure out the secrets of the Church. The final Suppport only unlocks after you beat both of their Paralogues.

Doesn't Hubert literally take over the Abyss in CF? That's just begging for a Yuri/Hubert Support.

The poster who suggested the Dedue/Petra Support was onto something great but didn't really realize the potential. I think there's a great contrast to be made in how Dedue is fanatically loyal to Dimitri while Petra sees Edelgard as a friend but is ultimately using her to fulfill her own goals and only stays with Edelgard for as long as she thinks it will benefit Brigid (as exemplified by how any Dedue/Petra support would take place in a timeline where she betrays Edelgard). There's also an interesting contrast in how Petra constantly works for Brigid's future while Dedue doesn't really care for Duscur as a place anymore. I also think Petra would see Duscur as a warning of what might one day happen to Brigid if they don't become free from the empire and an example of why she must improve Brigid's standing in the world. Holy shit this paragraph got long, there's just so much to explore.

Theory time: AM and SS had their final bosses switched at some point in development. It would explain why AM just forgets about Rhea at the end and why SS gives so little focus to the fact that your main lord just betrayed you. AM and CF were stated to have been made as opposites of each other so it would make sense if they had the same final boss but opposite reasons for fighting it.

Dude Hubert is fanatically loyal to Edelgard's cause (if not her actual orders) and Miklan was stated to to kill people just for fun even before the DLC added a dialogue with Yuri that refers to him raping women.

I’d think Dimitri in late-AM is Neutral Good, especially given the whole “live for what you believe in” advice that drives him out of his funk.

Dedue isn’t ashamed of his roots of course, and he does admit to finding Faergus “repugnant” for their hypocritical zealotry, but yeah... as his Supports with Mercedes show, he considers it a dead country, hence why he tries to focus on Dimitri, the one thing he DOES have that he still cherishes. It’s interesting to think about, especially compared to his Supports with Shamir (as they’re Not So Different in this and their stoicism, yet also find they differ in other ways). Petra also only Supports with Ashe among the Lions, so I would not be adverse to giving her some more convos with them...

[NB: If people want to look at other Supports, like Edelgard with more Deer than Lysithea, they still can - I flubbed with Hubert’s not having Church Supports, but otherwise tried to list only factions they didn’t talk with.]]

Calling Miklan CN and Hubert CE...? What Dungeon Masters Guide are you looking at?

Miklan is the definition of CE. Hubert is evil, but he's absolutely not Chaotic. Even calling him Neutral Evil is questionable.

The others I can agree with, though Rhea shifts to LE on Crimson Flower.
