Also Hapi herself says on BL she realized the stark difference between peace and war. While skirmishes exist in peace, she always believed that people were just lying to themselves, and it's only after the war starts she realizes how naive she was for mistaking small fights for war. Her village was so peaceful she realized she took it for granted.

Yuri even laments that the fact he isn't corrupt meant he can't control or blackmail Rodrigue too.

I think i saw that convo with Hapi, it's an interesting counterpoint to the idea of negative peace.

You would think Yuri would try to get some dirt from Felix but i guess Felix punched him when he tried to ask.

I just imagined an AU where Rafael and Hubert had each other's lives, so Edelgard has a not-too-sharp henchman a la Yzma and Kronk, and Ignatz has to keep his friend from solving every problem via murder.

The wording is less explicitly "equal for everyone" and "even the people in Abyss are getting a part".

I thought of using The World's Greatest Criminal Mind for Yuri but it doesn't entirely fit.

I don't think Yuri would go into a berserk rage at being called a rat.

Yuri is a terrible person but he's not evil.

Can anyone think of Disney songs for Balthus, Hapi, and Constance? Maybe I could give Balthus Gaston, but I'd have to find a new song for Ferdinand.

He schemes and he backstabs, but by the end of the day, if you have his trust, he will look after you.

Yuri is an antihero at worst, and a big believer in honour among thieves.

Japan has a thing for honorable gangsters. Like Yuri is a mob boss who looks after the Abyss.

Yeah, Yuri's gang is basically the Yakuza of the Abyss.

Okay I saw a great comedic pic of Edelgard/Byleth/Rhea threesome but the language and the twitter(R18) art means I can't post it.

Edelgard says some crude stuff about herself like it's the start of some porn. It ends up being Byleth and Rhea playing tic tac toe on her forehead and Edelgard is PISSED.

Be careful about sending such stuff even in private messages; people have gotten in trouble for it before.

Oh yeah it's nothing shocking or anything like that. The fact is tame besides Edelgards dialogue wouldn't be a problem if the account itself wasn't a porn one.

Well, I can't say that I'd be uninterested.

Anyway, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been my game for the quarantine. Naturally, I thought Edelgard=Power=antagonist to the other two=Ganondorf, Dimitri=Courage=blond hero=Link, and Claude=Wisdom=the one who wants to know more=Zelda.

BUT THEN: Dimitri=Boar Prince=Brute Strength=Ganondorf, Claude=wind motifs=pure-good mounted archer=Link, Edelgard=most magical=only girl=Zelda.

BUT ALSO: Claude=schemer=Middle-Eastern inspired=Ganondorf, Dimitri=pure of heart but gets broken=compassionate to a fault=Zelda, Edelgard=the one willing to fight impossible odds=outwardly stoic but gooey inside=Link.

So yeah, those are malleable comparisons.

I remember comparing the three lords to the three main versions of Ganondorf in this thread before. Edelgard's the scheming Ocarina of Time Ganondorf, Dimitri's the crazed Twilight Princess Ganondorf, and Claude's the mysterious Wind Waker Ganondorf.
