Animated or live action ?
Because I'd be game for either.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Yeah, the child soldier were mention in a conversation between hux and kylo when the later talk about using clones again.....
I never know why they didnt use clones anyway.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Actually, if Finn was made into a clone, then it would be easier to remember that he was a former Stormtrooper and give Boyega a chance to do multiple roles through the Stormtroopers.
As awesome as Childish Gambino is in live action a slickly made and stylized traditionally animated work could be truly be something special focusing on those two characters. Good idea.

Bleye knows Sabers.you know the force dyad concept both explains and has an really Unfortunate Implication to it. If only it had been a real answer instead of made up on the fly.
So Rey and Ben are linked
suddenly Kylo absurd powers make sense, He has TWICE the force power while Rey is unawakened... once Rey 'wakes' Kylo NEVER pulls the Force stasis move again cause the powers are spilt
Rey's ability to just pick up lightsaber and force skills make more sense if she's drawing from Ben's experience as a Jedi.
Rey should be one of the most cynical jaded characters in Star Wars outside of Cade skywalker
She has been abandoned, She works as a slave junker with no real way of escaping her status and she suffers deep down fear that she is unloved and unwanted
YET
She's mostly acts like Luke stuck on the farm and generally has a positive attitude in spite of it all even not doing the perfectly rational thing of turning BB-8 over for several days worth of food when by all definition she should run on eat or starve
Ben on the hand despite having his parents, uncle and place he can belong... acts like a depressed sad sack who can't help but feel this positive emotions are just distant foreign things and feels an unexplained urge to the Dark side...
Its almost like SOMEONE is sapping his Positivity away...
____
Finn's problem is since they don't focus on the force sensitive bit and He doesn't really do much as a reformed Janitor
Finn doesn't really have much to do... Factor in that TRAITOR and Phasma are none issues.
Having Finn take part in the Massacre and then lose a squadmate would have made he's 'awakening' -haha- meaningful. The Janitor bit is just used as an excuse to have Finn know where shit is. but if Finn had partaking in the brutality and rejected it, it make his animosity with Phasma more personal, SHE is the one that shaped and pushed him to be a Monster.
though that would require Phasma to be something other than a punchline and rule 34 fodder
Can't have that, Its the First LOSER Order for a reason.

I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! That's a bit similar to the way the Exile from KOTOR II drew power from Force Bonds.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI mean, you can explain her not selling BB-8 as her not wanting to do to someone what was done to her. Albeit subconsciously because she's convinced herself that her parents are coming back anyyyyyyyyyyy day now.
Also, she's not like super upbeat.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHonestly I always figured she got her Jedi skills in TFA when she reversed the mind link interrogation on Kylo in that film. She sees deep into the head of a trained Jedi / Sith, she takes his skills.
And she never fell into villainy because she knew too well what it felt like to be stepped on by the rest of the world. She was always too empathetic to the plight of having no power to want power over others.
(also Rey at least does the force stasis against Palpatine's imperial guards in TROS, so it does come back in a way. But the camera's cutting too quick for it to really show off such a cool action beat again.)
She also idolized the Rebellion and Luke Skywalker, which might help explain.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
Eh Cade did the ambitionless one better
Is that what she did... the cutting between the Ben vs Knights and Rey vs Guards was so fucking head tilting.
They looked like they were armed with Bruce cannons from Halo
They were not the Sovereign Protector

I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Shit genuis idea. He tried to Mind Rape her in a way which caused a grown man to cry before. So she Mindraped the bastard right back and took away all his skills. Which is why he keeps losing to her.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."The reverse mind link thing isn't speculation. It's stated outright in the novelization (outside material, I know) that she did exactly that. Notice she doesn't try to use the Force at all in the film until after that scene.
He should have password protected his brain. Rookie mistake.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers...
You don't get credit for putting things in the Novel that you should have put in the movie
granted in Last's defense putting the stuff in novel in the movie would have just made you actively want the Rebels to die horribly for acting like Children
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! In the movie she was clearly rooting around in there because she found his secret fear that he's not as cool as Vader.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIs that Really a "Secret" Fear
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! To her it was
She didn't know this asshole.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI agree, but when I'm dealing with JJ 'explaining things is for the writers left after I abandon this' Abrams, I'll take what I can get.
Kylo should have just been a Revanite... like all the other sith sellouts and wannabes
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Well that would require them giving him a reason for the Vader worship or turn to the dark side and we can't have that.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Why did he pick the name "Kylo Ren"
If he was a sith wannabe You'd think he'd go for the classic Darth whatever
Lord knows BW did it when it didn't even make sense!
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Apparently the Ren in Knights of Ren didn't refer to Kylo but to a different guy called Ren who led the knights.
They only start exploring this last year though and its a shame because Original Ren seems cool and a good way to explain why Kylo do what he do.
Not sure where Kylo came from. A book of evil baby names he found in the library? Its a mystery.
If there was more of a concrete idea on where everything was going to go. Or even a better idea than "dunno, kylo redemption lol" then they could have been filling in these gaps earlier.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI mean, again, JJ Abrams. There's no concrete idea on where the next scene is going, let alone the story as a whole, other than somewhere "delightful".
Also apparently "Kylo" was Ben's childhood Awesome McCoolname name in those comics, because of course it is.

They do actually mention the child soldiers in Rise.
During the FO commander meeeting at the start, I think it was the black lady commander who mentioned they have to conscript even more children.
Then when on Babu Frick’s planet, the Power Rangers chick mentioned the FO kidnapped every single child in the village or city or whatever.
Huh that makes sense.
