Is there a line of dialogue from the scene that would fit? Otherwise, no caption.

From the wedding scene (David's reading from a piece of paper):

"David Silberstein, son of Jakub Silberstein, and Sosha, daughter of Mr Klein, are married on 10 March 1939. The bridegroom promises never to desert his wife, to see to it that she has plenty to eat, a home, pretty dresses, and that she'll never be sad."

Later dialogue (David and his parents):

"You see, I promised I'd never leave her." — "You might marry her some day." — "I've already married her."

ETA:

David: You see, I promised I'd never leave her.
Mum: You might marry her some day.
David: I've already married her.

I agree, I like the second later dialogue as well for a caption. Stacked lines would look better; definitely. If the characters who speak the lines should be named, then it would be David, David's mum Irma, and then David again.

ETA:

David: You see, I promised I'd never leave her.
Mum: You might marry her some day.
David: I've already married her.
