One YMMV page for general entries vs Recap YMMV pages for episode-specific entries

The Miraculous Ladybug page has a YMMV page that contains examples that only appear in one episode, but the episode-specific Recap pages also sometimes have a YMMV page (with a handful of entries, some of which are repeated on the general YMMV page).

I've made a discussion post asking about this, as well, but should we move all episode-specific tropes to their Recap YMM Vs? Or should we cut all the Recap YMM Vs and merge them with the general YMMV page?

There was another (now locked) discussion about this from 2011 which highlighted the main issue, where there are a bunch of Recap YMMV pages with not a lot of content. However, that was discussing Doctor Who, which, well, Doctor Who.

If we treat the Recap pages like a Character sheet, where YMMV entries go on their relevant Recap pages, then the Main YMMV would get a redirect like "tropes unique to a single episode are on their respective Recap YMMV page". But then, if there are multiple tropes that cover multiple episodes, would they be moved back to the Main YMMV page? Or should the Main YMMV only cover tropes that apply to the franchise as a whole rather than like, two episodes.

I personally have no problem scrapping the Recap YMMV pages because a lot of the YMMV pages are really short (some of the newer episodes only have one or two entries), and it consolidates everything for easy reading (the Recap YMMV pages aren't indexed anywhere, and even then, reading through it requires clicking through like 50 episode pages). Maybe the YMMV page would need to be split up into further links, though. Otherwise, if YMMV entries are episode-specific, we could index them on the Main YMMV page like "for episode specific tropes check this list" etc.

I'd really like some feedback on this issue, because I don't want to do something that might be wrong or badly implemented.

the Recap YMMV pages aren't indexed anywhere
That's a violation of wiki policy. For the specific issue of episode pages having very few YMMV examples, I think subwork pages don't need YMMV or Trivia subpages until there are three or more examples. Until there are, the Primary work page can hold all of them, and index the subpages as they are created.
A primary page would be the single medium franchise page or the first installment page, like WesternAnimation.Miraculous Ladybug is.

YMMV pages are never indexed. They don't have either indexes or the "find an index to put this on" note at the bottom. They're considered an extension of the parent page with no index of their own.

You're right. Doesn't that make it more likely for an example on a Recap subpages more likely to be duplicated?

Thanks for your responses! Repeating tropes and their entries was the entire reason why I'm asking this, and the Recap YMMV pages not being linked anywhere besides the Recaps themselves really doesn't help sorting things.

I checked again, and there are only 8 Recap YMMV pages (only 1 of them contains more than 3 tropes), and all the tropes are listed on the primary YMMV page. I think that's enough to merit deleting the Recap YMM Vs and moving any not-yet-added entries to the main YMMV.

Well, I don't know about that. In principle, everything on a Recap page, YMMV or not, should be a duplicate—it's a summary of an episode and its tropes should also be listed on the show's page and crosswicked from there.

In practice, Recap pages collect the single-episode tropes that would clutter up the main page. But there isn't any reason a trope that's on the show's page shouldn't also be on the appropriate Recap page or subpage.
