@Master Joseph Seems pretty.... Barren tbh
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Okay, I've gotten some work in.
IPP Wick Check created.Okay, here are some guidelines to start a page. First you must describe what the series is about, then draw a line with 4 -, then write "!! Tropes found in the series". Like this:
Son Goku and the White Wolf is a 2018 series by Monkey Studios. It follows a monkey boy fighting space wolves in a carrot-shaped spaceship and stuff happens.
Tropes found in Son Goku and the White Wolf
Secured watchlist for Spring:
- Kenja no Mago
- Shoumetsu Toshi
- Gunjou no Magmel
- Mayonaka Occult Koumuin
- Sarazanmai
- Kabukicho Sherlock
- Kono Hate YU-NO
- Fairy Gone (I hope Netflix doesnt screw its release)
Idc if they ended up not being popular or Ensemble Dark Horse of the season... At least I will try to enjoy the anime ofc. I'll consider OPM, 7Seeds (If all episodes were released on other websites) and Bokuben if I have nothing to do.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."New trailer for Netflix Ultraman:
Just took a proper look at the list to see what I'd try this season, and I gotta ask, are there fewer anime than normal or am I remembering the last few seasons wrong?
Also, I'll be going over almost every anime on that list, so this is going to be a busy season when it starts.
Okay airdates for everything. And only missing a PV for Mix, which I don't expect anyone here to care about, so I'm calling the list complete
@Hylarn Please tell me if Random Curiosity released their first impressions of Spring anime
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."No info from Random Curiosity? Alright
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."So for me it will be SNK, Kimetsu no Yaiba and Fairy Gone. Maybe I'll check out We Never Learn's anime, but I doubt it'll add much to the manga.
…Yeah, not a terribly exciting season as far as I'm concerned. >.>
I'll need to check out their list to see if I've missed anything that looks good, but I expect I'll agree with you there, Lyendith.
It's been fun.Oh I didn't know Strike Witches was this season. Kinda sucks that it's a series of 15 minute chibi shorts. I guess aside from Fruits Basket and We Never Learn I might as well give this a try. That, Sarazanmai since I enjoyed Mawaru Penguindrum and Yuri Kuma Arashi, and the newest entry in the Monogatari series.
Since Kabukicho Sherlock is moved to Fall, I might gonna take either 7Seeds and Bokuben a shot. But since the former is aired in Netflix, I might gonna take a dibs later. Bokuben is definitely on the list cuz of Foooooom
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Yeah, this is going to be an by ear season for me. Nothing interests me, not even some of the sequels since I never really got into the shows. Though maybe I'll take the time to read the SNK manga instead
Might change depending on what I hear from others on this season's shows.
I would also like to note that ufotable is currently facing charges of tax fraud for those interested in the demon slayer manga. Not sure if that will affect production, but felt like something to bring up, if only for the sake of discussion.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash.Well, since I managed to handle 15 shows simultaneously last season despite having a full-time job, I guess I'll do the same thing this time around as I did last start.
Let three episodes of all shows come out first and then watch those trios one by one.
If anything sticks, it sticks.
If it doesn't, it doesn't.
Continue weekly from there.
(Sometimes I wonder if I'm just engaging in a self-destructive cycle of punishment whenever a new season starts...rather than just take a break for once in a quarter...)
Starting this season off is YU-NO!
Ok, strictly speaking, the season started with Ultraman, but it's on Netflix and I'm not a fan of the genre. So YU-NO it is.
YU-NO - A Girl Who Chants Love At The Bounds Of This World (yes, it's a Visual Novel adaptation, why do you ask?) is nothing new. Bland looking dark-haired protagonist, flashback to phrases without context that'll be important later, philosophical-sounding monologue to start with, perverted hero, impractically dressed teacher, and that's all before the three minute mark, including the opening (which, on it's own, implies that there'll be a harem around the hero, in case the poster for the show didn't tip anybody off).
Frankly, I'm not impressed. The rest of the episode does no better of a job standing out from your run-of-the-mill adaptation. The technical merits are fine, but unremarkable, and the music was there as well. If this kind of thing is your jam, this show can probably be a comfortable, familiar story, but based on the first episode alone I don't think it'll impress many people.
Ultraman: Trying to look like toku and anime, and it doesn't work well. The more realistic models and rigging jar with it running at 12 fps and some of the fight choreography
YU-NO: Sure is something that could have come out 15-20 years ago. Not much budget, archetypal cast, plot stuff that comes off as cliched now...

i highly doubt SNK will be the most talked about, simply because the fans doesn't want to accidentally reveal a spoiler or a plot twist, something SNK has a lot of
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistYU-NO is based on a 1996 VN that pretty much defined the genre as it exists today - it was a huge step-up in storytelling and presentation from anything that came before, with a complex but user-friendly branching route structure. It's getting attention now because the 2017 remake is getting a multi-platform re-release. The catch is, of course, that the genre has come a long way in those two decades, and a number of YU-NO's influential innovations weren't actually a great idea (there's a whole lot of incest in it, for one thing). It may be interesting as a historical artefact, but if you want an actually good TV series, I'd suggest checking elsewhere.
What's precedent ever done for us?So basically, this is an example of Seinfeld Is Unfunny going on right now.
Have watch the first episode of YU-NO. Gotta make the thread soon as I have so many things to say but not after I finish Boogiepop anime
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Aaaaaaand the thread for YU-NO has been made. Feel free to participate if you want to discuss the anime.

Okay I've started a page and a thread for The Wise Grandson, aka Kenja no Mago and Philosopher's Grandson, Magi's Grandson.
