Police Station

'I wonder how's the record room is? I better go check.'

I went back to the Police Station to look at the room. The record room was clean. The body in the room and leading to the room were removed. The records were put back to their proper places. The window had still yet to be fixed. 'At least the room's much better than earlier. I'm getting a bit sleepy. I'm gonna take a nap.' I went to my bed and curled up and slept.

Here is just fine. Go on, have a seat.

(Many young, similar looking people eye Quentin from their various seats at the table, most of them women with white hair.

(Even the terrible dog seats herself, snickering like a fiend.)

(A less canid woman with white hair and beautiful red eyes slides a little plate with a delectable slice of yellow cake on it and a small coffee cup to Quentin, smiling gently.)

Some lemon torta and espresso, if you'd like. I made it myself. The elder Claudia recommended we try and break the ice, so to speak, make the air less stifling for potential business partners.

(The upper two legs pivot and cross to cover his chest, the other two holding his weight firm as his meat body kind of... droops a bit.)

"Looks delicious, thank you," Quentin says with a nod, before turning his head to Claudia. "Perhaps we should begin discussing our business." He lifts the coffee and sips.

-A figure on the roof◊ is leveling a rifle down at Otto-

"Stand down, Zer0. He's with us. Roland wants him."

-The figure lowers the rifle, its mask displaying a holographic "..."-

"C'mon inside. The others are waiting."

Of course. Now, much of this is just going to be "Oh, Let's Read Back What You Already Said and Make Sure We Understand it and You Said it Right", but I'm correct in saying you wanted some manpower for, oh... a little PR thing, was it? Something to stir the pot for a client?

-This rather military-looking gentleman◊ is taking a wrench to what looks to be a stationary turret, affixing a rocket pod to the top of it-

"Whoa...some serious tech on that suit, not gonna lie."

-The sniper from before descends the stairs, stowing his rifle on his back-

"Not too effective/would have shot right through the legs/remember - look up."

-Mordecai follows in after Otto, looking rather unbothered by the large number of guns present in this room-

There is still an active hunt for an unidentified gunman who attempted to assassinate the CEO of Hyperion, Handsome Jack. The gunman aimed a rifle through the window on the top floor of Hyperion corporate headquarters but was foiled by the building's bulletproof windows. Released Hyperion security footage reveals the assailant to have been wearing a wolf-like mask and trench coat, and sporting a ponytail. Local vigilante Spider-Man was seen speaking to the gunman, indicating a connection or relationship between the two. Any information should be reported to the sheriff, Nisha Kadam.

Ah, of course. We wouldn't offer anything other than the most carefully-trained marksmen to you, and as a proof of concept...

(Another portal opens, and through it drops a solemn-looking Claudioid, who loads her weapon and fires several blanks into the wall with mechanical precision.)

Claudia Emiya may be an ideal spearhead for this operation. Several others like her are skilled with firearms.

(Another menacing girl◊ drops through yet another portal, demonstrating some flashy judo-like moves with her baseball bat.)

Claudia Claasink among them, of course. As you can see, this one is also pretty light on her feet and quick-thinking.

Recently-released Hyperion security footage appears to show local vigilante Spider-Man assaulting Hyperion CEO Handsome Jack inside their corporate headquarters. Hyperion has stated that the assault occurred inside one of Hyperion's server rooms, and the company theorizes that the vigilante was attempting to access proprietary company information such as AI code or robot designs. Handsome Jack has expressed "disappointment" in Spider-Man's actions, making an appearance in a press release with visible facial injuries from the encounter.

The CEO of the Hyperion corporation has answered for allegations that he shot dead a man by stating that it was the result of a confrontation stemming from an attempt on his life and the lives of his associates in an interview with a local television station that aired one week ago. The interview was roundly criticized by community leaders by appearing orchestrated to appear akin to a press release for Hyperion and its prospective living space, “Opportunity”.

The interview, scheduled prior to the release of the video, notably did not question the increasing prevalence of vending machines containing guns with no precautionary measures, such as a verification of the buyer’s identity or, indeed, whether they are prepared to handle such weaponry. A source close to Hyperion stated that such method of sale is standard for Hyperion and its competitors in its home world.

Still at issue is the presence of Sheriff Nisha Kadam within the video. While she is not mentioned in the interview, sources close to both Hyperion and the Sheriff’s Office have stated that Kadam took part in the confrontation as a freelancer hired by Jack. The same source for the latter office also stated that the sheriff would only recuse herself from situations involving the Hyperion CEO on a case-by-case basis. They also referred to the incident as "well outside of their current jurisdiction."
