Violence Jack got so graphic it was moved to non-shonen magazines.

But yeah, this series is pushing things pretty hard.

Apparently Fire Punch was much more messed up since it was seinen, but equally insane

That part definitely made me gag. Funny, but good god did not need to see it.

Yes Fire Punch was weird. Brother–Sister Incest, Cannibalism in the first chapter alone before Doomed Hometown. And a Downer ending that allows everyone to finally rest in peace. Also afterlife is a theater.

Chapter 21:

Aaaand Denji got his first kiss and its a rather disgusting but funny one from the eyepatch girl I recall? But they managed to kiss anyway when Denji brought her home

Chap 22: So now this isn't just a weird action series, it's also a weird romcom. Sometimes I wonder if the author doesn't just want to troll teenagers. "Dear young loser who fantatizes over women, kisses and sex: this is what it's actually like. Have a nice day."

Then at the end…

In a normal series I'd know without a doubt that Makima isn't actually dead, but in this one… I can't quite put it past the author…

....Well, that was an ending, that's for sure.

Benefit of author being so crazy is that you don't actually know whether its fake out or not

I feel like the series gets by solely on shock value and it would have gotten the ax otherwise.

I don't really mind most of the time but I'm not so sure with this one.

I can't say you're exactly wrong… The characters are fun enough to make the whole thing bearable though.

Seems the manga got interesting so far... Gotta read it soon.

Chapter 22:

After the first kiss he experienced with the eyepatch lady, hes mostly wanting to kiss Makima and the eyepatch lady agrees. However, I was surprised that Makima was shot.. Oof

Chapter 23! …Okay, it was pretty awesome. >.> But also we're now pretty sure that the dead won't stay dead for long. Unless Denji was a Decoy Protagonist all along.

Didn't author's other manga kill off the cast at some point?

Denji is shot but maybe he's wounded I guess. But man what an intense chapter
