I think it's safe to say it only applies to the reboot timeline.

I still think Evil Sindel could've been a new character & people would've been more cool with that.

I mean Mileena's entire history was altered so why not Sindel's

then again I like Evil all along Sindel and just assumed that unlike last time Sindel didn't switch sides cause it wouldn't benefit her in the long run

Shao was deadish/ in Hiding in MK 4 'ya know before they decided that Reiko and Shao weren't the same person'

post Mk 4 Edenian is restored and Shao i pretty much stuck fighting a perpetual civil war with all his major minions now out for themselves

Thing is, Evil Sindel helpt Kahn in the reboot when he had already lost. She didn't side with a war lord while he was on the cusp of victory, she sided with a loser who had been blinded and defeated.

I wonder if the 20+ years as a revenant gave her some perspective that her MK3 self didn't.

Otherwise, freeing Shao Kahn in Aftermath was part of Shang Tsung's plan to get the Hourglass. Without that, she may well have left him to rot. The impression I've gotten from Sindel is, yes, she loves Shao Kahn, but she loves her power and privilege more. In Aftermath, she helped the former precisely because it allowed her to get the latter, but if she has to choose between one or the other, Shao will lose.

In MK3, the good guys saving her afforded an opportunity: Topple Shao Kahn, and get her Edenia back with her as Queen, without Jerrod, everyone adoring her,and all she'd have to do is put up pretense of being benevolent.

Haven't played a single MK game yet, but I wonder how many movie/comic characters could WB and Netherrealms fit in before they decided to stop releasing MK 11's DL Cs? That's one way to inject to give a 2-year old game more life.

If Mileena is the next DLC then it's kinda backpedaling what they did in X.

Then again, the same can be said about Sub-Zero & Jax & I doubt we'll be getting another MK installment any time soon.

Even then, Mileena's ending in X set up a way for her to survive without even needing time shenanigans.

Looks like a jungle. Guess that rumored guest kharacter might be true after all.

I guess you mean Rambo? Because that is a very Vietnam-esque jungle.

A big part of me really wants to hope that Ash is still happening and this Tarkatan is actually running through the Evil Dead woods.

And while Rambo's not really near the top of my list of wanted guest characters, I'd still be cool with him. But mainly if Ash and/or John Wick are also coming.

I wonder why the deal with Ash fell through.

The Evil Dead rights are kinda screwy IIRC. 1 and 2 are owned by one studio, Army of Darkness another.

Wait! Is that why Army of Darkness wasn't called Evil Dead 3?

We do know he was cleared for the game at one point (the chainsaw noise in Shang Tsung's trailer, his name being on the popup instead of Joker, etc.) so I hope they can still sort out whatever it is that's keeping him out.
